More of these please. There's enough exposure for your every day Porsche 356, but videos on weird stuff like this is what youtube sorely lacks.

I had one of these in 1971 when I was 16. Lived in Santa Clara California. Drove it up Highway 9 every weekend to go camping at the beach. Believe it or not my girlfriend and I did sleep in the back. A baby crib mattress fit perfect in the back. We both slept on that together. Awe young love LOL!!!

He's not the only who loves these two stroke vans, there's a guy up in Portland, OR., who has a KZbin channel - 2stroketurbo, he's mechanic with his own shop and he posts video all the time, He rebuilt one of these vans, a windowless junker to a daily driver, great videos.

As a lover of modern architecture, this video was a feast. The backdrop of modernist/brutalist buildings really enhanced the subject van. Made perfect sense--urban car, urban setting--but stylishly so. Brilliantly done (as usual).

Luke Skywalker Actually I know very little. What I do know however is that their first car was the 360, and from what I can remember it has a little air cooled, 2-stroke engine - hence the ringa dinga ding dong sound effects *;)* It was only in the later years when Boxer engines became the norm with their different length headers that the car gained it's classic well known deep grumble. Sounds good.

My younger brother had one of these. What a riot to drive ! To drive it to it's maximum ability you had to be very coordinated. 360 CC's had to be used very efficiently to not hold up traffic. I remember the shifter flexing as I shifted. It was a complicated dance, but then the Best always are .

Using my wife's name with pic. Hi Scott thought that looked familiar, especially since are vans paint jobs are almost identical. The van I own was purchased from Ed, the Guru of Subaru's. He and his wife owned it for 40 years and was his daily driver. This is the third van I've owned since my dad gave me my first 360 sedan back about 1980. I love driving it. Only time I got intimidated in it driving on the freeway for 55 miles from Lancaster, CA to Santa Clarita on Christmas day. Slowest speed was 45 and fastest was 70mph thanks to a sedan rear end. Mark

Road and Track (May '58) tested an M-B 180D with 4 on the tree 43BHP 1.8l diesel, 0-60 time was 33 sec. Time is way overrated. keep the 360
