I finished recently the rear suspension on the 74 Tr6 I am working on. I will post the video soon. I think it will be better than this one as there is more light and I have a little more experience this time :)

Your bmw radiator fan wrench/spring compressor isn't orange... did somebody use end up using it for scrap metal?

When you say “grease” everything, what kind of grease are your using? Wheel bearing?

how long is your spring compression tool
@RustyBeauties2 жыл бұрын
I believe it was 21 1/2" but I am not sure. I don't have it right now. But it needs to be at least 3" longer than the uncompressed spring.

Can also use a huge socket instead of steel tube. That's my plan! Your tool also is available at most FLAPS.
@RustyBeauties7 жыл бұрын
FLAPS?!? Yes a bis socket would work, but it needs to be really big. The bushing is like 1 3/4" I think. Just from the top of my head, not really sure.
@DavidPlass7 жыл бұрын
FLAPS = Friendly Local Auto Parts Store. Like I said, a **huge** socket.

Is there no shock absorber on the rear suspension of these cars?
@RustyBeauties7 жыл бұрын
There is. But TR6 use a lever type shock absorber. You can see me mounting it's lever at 11:38
@TornadoCAN997 жыл бұрын
I understand now...I checked a video from ChefTush showing his TR6 being retro fitted back to the lever type shock from the after market cylinder shock his car came with when he bought it. The aftermarket system was causing structural failures on the frame.

You forgot the 2 screws on the drum
@RustyBeauties7 жыл бұрын
Good eye! You are right! I didn't forget them though, they were just missing and I had to order them, but I still didn't have them at that time. I should have mentioned that in the video. Thank you for your constructive criticism! It is always helpful.
