!965, I'm nine years old. Both my parents always worked nights on Avengers night. Me, telly on, cosy in front of a coal fire, watched every episode. Life changing! I quickly understood there was more to life than any adult had ever told me about. I fell in love with, and still adore immensely, Diana Rigg. As people used to say at the time, she was fab. Diana was so much more than 'fab'. She was gloriously magnificent, in every way. As in this interview. In 1967, I was watching also 'The Prisoner', created by and starring Patrick McGoohan. My young imagination was fired up twice a week! How lucky can one get in life? Take care!
@PaulRobinson-sk6uk
@PaulRobinson-sk6uk Жыл бұрын
^^^^ I commented before watching the final interview in the video. Hence, I refute that Diana was 'magnificently glorious'. She was even more 'fab' than that. I cannot find words to express the joy that flooded my senses as I watched the final part of the video. There can never be anything better in life than having been loved by Diana Rigg.

Mike Parkinson always said that Diana Rigg was the most 'ravishingly attractive' woman he had ever met...his words not mine! She was at her sexiest in the classic comic horror movie Theater of Blood with Vincent Price. There was one hilarious scene where she 'came on' to old Harry Andrews who must have been nearly sixty at the time. Harry Andrews was as gay as a tulip in real life, but he should have got an academy award for pretending to fall for Ms Riggs charms so utterly convincingly.

Gorgeous lady this was, a fine performer, and a delightful self effacing wit. Sadly missed.

She was great. Not many leading ladies today with that kind of sparky quick intelligence. The very speed of her delivery of quality responses was impressive here.

Aging is the great human tragedy. This is the way I remember her. Peerless. RIP Diana.

Aging is great when you consider the alternative, she'd already died once on the operating table.

DIANA RIGG, a Yorkshire lass. A truly gifted actress, simply beautiful, very well spoken, a lady with a wonderfully mischievous sense of humour, the likes of which, sadly we will never see again. I will always love, miss, and remember you Diana, God bless and look after you. Rest in peace.

Good Lord... That bit around 14:00 where Diana is talking about being a 39 year old mum. She would pass for 25 in that image. I'm so proud to have spent my last 20 years living in Doncaster where Diana was born. Having been born (if not bred, both my parents being Glaswegians) and lived in Rotherham until age 37 when I met my future wife.
