I saw her as Countess Tracy, James Bond's love interest in On Her Majesty's Secret Service. I've been watching Bond films in the wake of Sean Connery's death (although George Lazenby played Bond in that particular film).

Me too as a 13 year old curtesy of a new tv channel , Channel 4 which first aired in 1982. Diana as Mrs Emma Peel 26 years old in 1965 but at the time of 1982 Diana would of been 43 same age my dad. Even in her last years still had that boundless spirit that grace her in younger days.

The combination of Circumstance and hard work provided the opportunity for Diana through the use of her talent, beauty and character to be something unique at the time, terribly British, terribly good and unforgettable. For me she is the most beautiful, humorous and natural actress and a seemingly warm and genuine person. The Avengers, Diana and Britain in the sixties I can't imagine anything better.

@@johneldeisilfavan4642 Dame Diana Rigg died peacefully at home on 10th September 2020 aged 82, surrounded by her loving family. She was diagnosed with cancer in March, and spent the last 6 months of her life with those she loved most, reflecting on her remarkable life and career. This fantastic women created work that will live on and be enjoyed long after her death. She also had a much loved child, and was loved and respected in return by many people - many of whom she never met. A life well lived in every respect, and by the sounds of it a tranquil and beautiful death. God bless her, I am one of countless people around the world who is so very grateful that she shared her gifts with the world.

It is a measure of the great woman she was, that to the end she supported other women who speak out against sexual inequality and fight for their rights. Diana was not only a trailblazer in this regard, she retained her passion for female empowerment long after she had become comfortable, rich and famous. God bless you Dame Diana Rigg, a fine actress, woman and human being. XXX

My Dad was a HUGE, HUGE, HUGE fan of The Avengers reruns on PBS when I was a five or six year-old kid. I wanted to be like Dad so I liked it, too, and Emma Peele was the first lady action hero that I can ever recall. Sleek and riveting and stunningly beautiful. That she had such an indelible swan song role all these years later as Lady Olenna in GoT was brilliant. She hit that role OUT OF THE PARK, as they say in baseball.

Her cute small nose, almond eyes and high cheekbones was aquired while she was fed on her mums milk until she was probaby 2 years old. I have noticed that older British women have these very sweet gentle and cute facial features and its because they were all breastfed as babies/toddlers. This is especially true for british women who came from rural isolated areas such ad rural Scotland, Wales and Cornwall where bottles and baby formula were an extreme luxury until the late 60s. They are soo attractive!! As bottlefeeding became common unfortunately peoples facial features have become elongated, pointy and harsh!!
