I've watched literally hundreds of TV commercial compilations on KZbin alone, not to mention on DVD and the like and not only do these look pretty good, but most of these have never been posted on KZbin or anywhere I know of before. Hope you find more!

Thanks for the compilation! I was 9 in ‘76 when most of these came out, and remembered many.

@@jimmyohara2601 That's not necessarily so. There are some tribes in other countries where the FATHERS stay at home and take care of the kids and the mothers go out to work.

The First Nudie Musical (13:46 and 19:24) features Cindy Williams and Diana Canova. (Cool your jets guys, those two women keep their clothes on in the movie. Most of the other women, however, do not...) 3:49 - Sam the butcher in that Listerine ad is George Dzundza, who was in Basic Instinct and the original cast of Law & Order. 14:28 - In that Folger's coffee commercial, in addition to Virginia Christine as Mrs. Olson you also have Robert Ridgely as the camera buff in the darkroom. He played the hangman in Blazing Saddles and Robin Hood: Men in Tights. 21:55 - Dexter's sister in the Head & Shoulders ad looks like Ilene Graff from Mr. Belvedere, but I'm not sure if it's her. 22:27 - Clara in the Era laundry detergent commercial is Helen Page Camp. She's back at 28:55, with Mary Wickes as her mom. 25:55 - Patsy Garrett for Purina Cat Chow. 27:22 - The man in the Cheer detergent ad is Scoey Mitchell. 28:24 - In the Dr. Pepper spot with Lee Trevino, Lee's partner "Paul Ellis" is played by Joe Conley, who played general store owner Ike Godsey on The Waltons.

Superb collection. Having worked in television, I'm guessing this reel of commercials were a batch that were deemed 'damaged'. Back in the day we had to keep the damaged spots and add them to a reel to return them (eventually) to there agencies to receive new copies etc. You'll notice each of these have an issue - splices, used to death, faded print, clipped top & tails, just worn out. Just some info for you...!

It's possible what you say is true. These commercials came to us via a collector in the San Francisco Bay Area who used to show them as part of his movie nights. So, they got quite a bit of wear! Thanks for your comment. Please subscribe or support us on Patreon.com/Periscopefilm

In the description of this video, there's a reference to a TV trailer for "Butch Cassidy And The Sunshine Kid," yet several lines down, the CORRECT TITLE of the movie is given: "Butch Cassidy And The SUNDANCE Kid." Why didn't they list the right title in the first place?
