The art of 'woggle-hopping' - vaulting over things the height of your woggle, like Royal Mail pillar boxes - is ably demonstrated by sprightly septuagenarian, 'Jumping' George Corner. George even carries his own portable pillar box around with him, so he can get his woggle-hopping fix wherever in the world he finds himself.
This clip is from Nationwide, originally broadcast 21 June, 1971.
You have now entered the BBC Archive, a time machine that will transport you back to the golden age of TV to educate, entertain and enlighten you with classic clips from the BBC vaults.

I just looked him up. There's a 'Gettyimages' photo of 'Jumping' George Corner woggle hopping over his own Victorian letterbox in his garden, aged 79 years. He had just raised £1000 for disabled children. Mr. Corner is also featured in Colne Valley Postal Museum. What a wonderful, healthy, and unique way to find passion, purpose, and meaning in life!
