The greatest mover with the most exquisite backhand. Tennis players like Evonne Goolagong Cawley are not around any more.

Probably one of the most high powered women's final at the Australian Open in that era, given that it was very much the poor relation of the grand slams back then and attracted a very limited field. By the late 70s, the winners' list is a who's who of players who were never heard of again.

You can see that Evonne was cramping at 2:52

do you have the Evert vs Goolagong at the Australian Open, 1974 I think? It marked nearly a decade that Evert did not return to Australia for.

This was you didn’t need to catch your breath between points, have a chat with your coach or throw a racket on the ground. They moved on from each point. Also there were rarely marathon matches where the players took half hour bathroom breaks 😆

what a pity EVonne got cramps at the end of the match

I was wondering why she was serving at 40 mph.

Thanks for posting this. Anything of King-Court 1968 Aussie Final or Evert-Goolagong 1974 Aussie Open final?

Donn Gobbie Thanks mate. By all means upload historical stuff like that. Chris Evert and Evonne both have lots of fans on YT, myself included. Do you have the '75 AO final with Evonne and Martina ?

+Alan Snipes Interested in your comment. I'd also like to see that 1968 Aussie match. It was the only time King beat Court in a Grand Slam final. Cheers.
