I have built a lot of V8 Vegas back in the 70's and 80's but Never saw the effort put forth in this one!... I bow to you Sir!

I absolutely love that color! A Vega was my first car and after I flipped it upside down and totaled it a Vega was my second car. My first one was a black and gold 76 hatchback with the three line gold pinstripe down the side and GT wheels. The only thing that didn't look GT was the dash and steering wheel. It had no sway bars front or back from the factory and by the time I was driving it seven years later the shocks were completely worn out. Throw in some tires that were worn down to the wear indicators and it was one handful to handle. The second one I ended up with was also a 76 and gave me many trouble free miles before I sold it. The odometer had turned over twice. The one in this video is outstanding and I'd love to drive it. That car didn't weigh much and with that LS1 motor it has to go like a bat out of Hades.

Bad ass ride. You've solved the twist issues and have yourself a sweet and rare car.

I had a 1975 with a 327 I stuffed in it with help from my older brother. It was fun but not to this caliber. I was very young and did not know all the work needed and ended up twisting the rear end out of the car. I had a ton of fun before it gave out though. I had the 327 hooked to a 3 speed manual.

Great video, I would like to see a H.O. V6 installed in a Vega or Monza. I think it would be a very quick and better balanced car.

I have built a few Vegas and have a V8 Astre now. Really nice looking build. Those headers must have been a pain to make and figure out. My headers are made by Doug Thorley and unfortunately they no longer make them.

But will it smoke the tires? OH never mind that's a LS not a Hemi. Just "JOKING", I drive a Mustang, tow with a Dodge and race a Pontiac.YOU DID a GREAT JOB took a LOT of TALENT a LOT!!!---Well Done. Coming from a guy that just spent a BUTT LOAD on a Butler Motor, Could have put a Chevy in it, but then NONE of my friends would ever talk to me again, MOST don't anyway because I "CUT UP A GTO"--- OOOOHHH the HORROR!!!

@@colejrleroy8137 , There were many built for the 1975 model year, and shipped to Australia. The Aussies didn't have the strict clean air laws at the time. All the Vegas shipped to Australia had 350 LT1s stuffed in them and they hauled Gluteus Maximus.

A verbal description following the build would be appreciated. Showong a bunch of parts with a bland musical accompanyment is very limiting. Quite a sleeper. How much did this cost? Who did the work?
