1971 was the year when Shammi Kapoor delivered his last hit as a leading hero with Andaz though rajesh khanna had a special appearance in the movie. It was very good film about 2 kids with single parents who decide to unite them. 1971 clearly belonged to Rajesh Khanna again as he had 4 films in top 10 and 5 hits in the year. Haathi Mere Saathi was no doubt one of the best films and broke all records of that time which was later surpassed by sholay if i am not wrong. Many other films. Anand was great film by Hrishikesh Mukherji and everyone in the film gave great performance. The ending was heartbreaking like safar. Kati patang had many chartbuster songs so it was also huge blockbuster. Mera gaon mera desh and mela were some of the first films that gave birth to the Genre of films with decoit such as khote sikkay, patthar aur payal, sholay among many others. Overall great presentation and again congratulations for achieving this great milestone. 🎉🎉🎉

Vinod khanna also deserves credit for the success of Mera Gaon Mera Desh equally as Dharmendra. It was the turning point in his career and became a big star. After that film he turned hero in the same year with hum tum aur woh and became a superstar of the 70s.

Vinod Khanna was very attractive...but not very intelligent...he selected ordinary films as solo hero and missed the bus of becoming real super Star...👍

He gave solo hits in 70s and 80s such as imtihaan, kachche dhaage, inkaar, c.i.d, jurm, satyamev jayate, mahadev among others. One thing to note is he was an outsider with no filmmi connections. Still he did very well. Dharmendra, Rajesh Khanna and Jeetendra were also outsiders but they were his seniors and established stars in the 60s. Whereas Amitabh Bachchan who was also an outsider had connections with Indira Gandhi through his parents. So got recommendations from Indira Gandhi. So they got those benefits when it comes to big budget solo hero films. Others were from filmi background.

You are not getting the point...he was not serious and intelligent for his acting career...he took foolish decision joining osho at the peak of his career...over the years he was not able to deliver even 10 super hit films as solo hero... otherwise he was best screen presence... dominating appearance..

Wanted, Risk aur Dabangg me bhi kaafi damdaar screen presence thi unki.

Copied is actually nothing..it is improvising the previous with some added flavour...sirf copy karne se koi bahut zyada kamyab nahi hota...👍👍

Maybe one movie or two movies can be called “inspired” but Salim Javid stole everyone one of their stories. Here is a list: Andaz: A man and a woman Zanjeer: Death Rides a Horse Majboor: Zig Zag Don: Salam Memsaab Sholay: Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, Seven Samurai and MGMD Inkaar: the Bad Sleep Well Baazi: Die Hard These are some of the stories they stole and didn’t give credit to the original source. That is intellectual theft!!

@@rakeshsadeo yes and you are incorrect. You can take someone else idea and improve on it but you have to give credit to the original source. Taking someone else story and then “improvise” on the idea is no different than stealing someone else car and putting new paint code on it and calling it your own. That’s why copy write laws exist. To protect the original idea from being copied aka stolen. Like I said, every movie they claim to write was stolen somebody else hard work.

Kyun stress le rahe ho bhayi... international subjects jo already successful they India se credit ke mohtaj nahi they..unhe Indian audience ke hisab se alter karke Indian audience ko taaza content diya...verna hamari filmein social structure ki simple kahaniyon se upar nahi uth paatin.... Shakespeare ne apne contemporary writers ki kahaniyan apne andaz mein pesh ki...koi buri baat nahi..buri baat voh hai ke kisi ka content chori karna jisko uska credit kabhi bhi na mila ho....aisa bhi bahut logon ne kiya hai...vaise bhi already successful content ko phir se kamyab banana asaan nahi hai...copy kehke kisi ki kabiliyat kam nahi ki jaa sakti...
