आखरी खत 1965 में प्रदर्शित राजेश खन्ना की पहली फिल्म सामान्य रही! राज एवरेज, औरत और बहारो के सपने सामान्य लेकिन कलाकार साफ झलकने लगा था! 1969 की बंधन पहली हिट फिल्म! आराधना के प्रदर्शन ने सारे समीकरण ही बदल दिये! किशोर कुमार और राजेश खन्ना की जुगलबन्दी कमाल की थी! बंधन 1969 से रोटी 1974 तक काका नम्बर वन रहें, इस दौरान प्रदर्शित 45 फ़िल्मों में से मात्र 3 बदनाम फरिश्तें(लम्बी मेहमान भूमिका) मालिक और हमशक्ल ही टिकट खिडक़ी पर असफल रही!1974 के बाद काका 18 महीनों के लिए छुट्टी के लिए चले गये! इस बीच प्रेम कहानी और आइना( मेहमान भूमिका) प्रदर्शित हुई जो सामान्य रहीं! काका के खिलाफ सलीम जावेद का षड्यंत्र दीवार से बाहर करवाकर अपना रंग दिखाने लगा था,साथ मिला अमिताभ बच्चन का! दौर शुरु हुआ मल्टीस्टारर फिल्मों का!1975-76 के बाद हिंदी सिनेमा तकनीकी तौर पर मजबूत हुआ लेकिन कहानी के दृष्टिकोण से कमजोर!अमिताभ बच्चन 1976 से 1982 तक शिखर सितारे रहें लेकिन यादगार फिल्म एक न दे सके! हृषीकेश मुखर्जी की मदद से जुर्माना बेमिसाल आलाप जैसी फिल्म करते रहें लेकिन आंनद और नमक हराम जैसा जादुई असर दिखा नहीं पाये! राजेश खन्ना का अपना परिवारिक जीवन उलझ रहा था, साथी फिल्म निर्माता-निर्देशक षड्यंत्र के शिकार होकर काका को फ़िल्मों से बाहर कर रहे थे लेकिन, राजेश खन्ना के भीतर का कलाकार लगातार संघर्ष कर रहा था ऐसे में लम्बे इंतज़ार के बाद 1983 में आई अवतार सौतन और अगर तुम न होते!अवतार के कथानक और काका के अभिनय नें, मरने से पहले जीना न छोड़ो का मिथक स्थापित किया! काका 1990 स्वर्ग तक काम करते रहे लेकिन 1969-1974 वाली सफलता दोहरा नहीं सके! हिंदी सिनेमा में एक से बढ़कर एक कलाकार सुपरस्टार हुये हैं लेकिन राजेश खन्ना जैसी सफलता और विविधतापूर्ण भूमिका वाली फ़िल्में किसी को नहीं मिली! राजेश खन्ना को आप पसंद करे या न करे लेकिन उनकी प्रतिभा को आप नकार नहीं सकते!उनकी फ़िल्मों का संगीत कथानक हमारे आसपास हमेशा अपनी सार्थक मौजदूगी दर्ज कराता रहता हैं और हमेशा कराता रहेगा!आज जन्मोत्सव के शुभअवसर पर हर प्रशंसक की ओर से हार्दिक बधाई और यशस्वी कालखंड के लिए हार्दिक शुभकामनाएं! आंनद हमेशा सिने प्रेमियो के दिलो में जिंदा रहेगा!😊💕💐🙏

राजेश खन्ना के पतन के तीन प्रमुख कारण थे १. Over Exposure, २. अहंकार व ३. राजेश खन्ना का यह सोचना कि रोमाण्टिक फ़िल्मों का दौर अनंत काल तक चलता रहेगा। जब राजेश शिखर पर थे तभी धरम प्रा जी 'शराफ़त', 'तुम हँसीं मैं जवाँ', 'राजा जानी', 'नया ज़माना', 'रखवाला', 'कब क्यूँ और कहाँ' जैसी फ़िल्मों से अपनी ही-मैन की छवि मज़बूत करते चले गये थे। जितेन्द्र और संजीव कुमार भी उभर आये थे। वास्तव में काका और अमिताभ के बीच 3-4 साल तक धरम प्रा जी ने ही पर्दे पर राज किया था। 'शोले' के बाद ही धरम जी नीचे जाने लगे और अमिताभ तेज़ी से ऊपर आने लगे : लेकिन घटिया फ़िल्मों के ज़रिये। काका "प्रेमी" से "पति" और फिर "पिता" बन गये। एक्शन फ़िल्मों के दौर में उनका बस यही काम रह गया था।

Victoria no 203 was very entertaining film. Ashok kumar and Pran were obviously the show stealers. Their performance wad the highlight of the film. Saira banu looked very glamoruous even though she looked matured compared to 60s. Naveen nisckol also looked handsome. The story was very entertaining and thrilling. If i am correct it was the first hit of naveen nischol. Overall a great film that i would love to watch it again. Music was also superb. Songs were great. Great episode very well narrated and with entertaining background music clips for introduction of all films in the top 26 list. I really like this new style of presenting films with music tunes of the songs as signature style of each film and of course the song clips. Please continue this. Coming to the films, my favorite films that i have watched so far from 1972 are seeta aur geeta, Victoria No 203, rampur ka laxman, bawarchi, bombay to goa and parichay. I haven't watched amar prem, raja jani, apna desh, dushman, pakeezah, be imaan and others in the list. But lot of comments say that amar prem is a great film so i will watch it. Also i would love to watch other films in the list. This year was the special tribute for Meena Kumari the tragedy queen who ended her last year of life with a huge blockbuster with Pakeezah. What a glorious end of her career after facing so many setbacks personally and professionally. The film took 14 years from pre production to completion from 1958 to 1972. Film got delayed multiple times because of meena kumari's health issues. But she remained Professional and completed the film finally. Hard work always pays off. Al though pakeezah was not a great film, the music was chartbuster hit and meena kumari's dance, her beauty was magical and delight to watch. Even today pakeezah music is hit. And her tragic demise at the age of 38 years made audience so much sympathetic towards her that they made it a huge blockbuster. Over all another great successful year for hindi cinema. Dhanyawaad rakesh bhai. ❤❤❤

The man did art house movies like Avishkaar, Safar Khamushi and made them hits. No-one has come close to his level in the first seven years of his career. I believe due to these timeless movies he will be cherished by every new generation. I was shocked my niece, American bred and born loves Aradnah. I didn’t even know she knew who he was. My other niece loves Hati Meri Saati and calls Rajesh the elephant guy. Rajesh will be rediscovered by every future generation because his movies have much greater rewatch appeal than even Amitabh’s movies. Aside from Sholay, Shakti, or Paa Amitabh’s appeal is lost on the new generation. Rajesh Khanna’s first seven years is like a time capsule for the early 70’s.

This is the first time anyone has referred Hema Malini as an actress! The most wooden actress of all - she set back all actresses from that point - acting doesn't matter - beauty and dropping clothes are mandatory nowadays Gone were the days of Nutan, Waheeda Rehman, Jaya Bhaduri etc - actors who rose to the top, not because of their beauty, but because of their acting skills Makes me sick that Seeta aur Geeta was No.1 that year beating out great movies like Amar Prem, Pakeezah etc Amar Prem is one of my favorite movies - it is interesting that back in the day many people did not care for it but I think over time people realized that this is a true Gem Sad to think that at the end of the movie, they had to put wrinkles and whiten the stars hair to make them look old and now? Rajesh is gone, Om prakash is gone, only Sharmila is left Where has time gone?

No doubt amar prem is classic..i will talk in detail in coming special episode of amar prem...but you are under rating seeta aur geeta...hema Malini was not very good actress but seeta aur geeta is not a Film you can pull without good acting...in those years no other heroine was able to perform that role only Mumtaz was...she refused because of price and hema proved to be best...hema Malini has one more important thing,she May not be perfect actress but she never exposed,no dropping clothes... you have your own point of view but i felt you are stubborn regarding some films and actors... anyways thank you so much for your effort 👍👍

@@rakeshsadeo Seeta our geeta is not a classic - that is my point - just an airy fun movie that became a hit, whereas movies like Amar Prem are deeper, don't you think? Reg exposure - I meant today's heroines, not Hema Malini . Regarding acting ability - hema may have fit the role but when it comes to pure acting ability, is she a Nutan? Waheeda Rehman? My gripe with Hema is that she rose to the top - back in earlier days, good looks got you only so far, one needed acting ability to move up And ever since Hema, I feel the female is there only for glamor in our movies, the movies have become male-dominated . I am just airing my opinion - sure I can be wrong - but it is just an opinion I don't think I changed your mind & you have a right to it, I don't think that is being stubborn

You are not getting my exact point again...a versatile actor is more interesting than an actor good for specific roles...seeta aur geeta is not classic for sure but playing these roles is definitely a task..you Just can't imagine waheeda and Nutan playing seeta aur geeta... they were amazing actresses..you can check their episodes on my channel also which proves i am not biased in favour or against anyone..hema Malini never come in my top 10 actress list but that doesn't mean i can ignore her efforts..i already mentioned only Mumtaz was capable of pulling that roles but hema got that opportunity.. she was good in the beginning because she followed her directors...later on she was just beautiful without good acting... everyone knows level of Dilip Kumar as an actor but you can not imagine him playing dharam in dharmveer or veeru in Sholay..it doesn't mean Dharmendra is better than Dilip Kumar..i think you must have understood my perspective...👍👍

Hema fit the role perfectly, but that is as far as her acting ability went A lot of times we give in to recency bias - we see someone playing a role, the movie is a hit, we like it and we think no one else can play this role - that is not true - if the role had gone to someone else and the movie had been a hit, we would be saying that same thing about this other actor Again, just an opinion, I mean no offense

In our country, there are very less artistically intellectual people that's why some masterpiece movies have suffered. For Example, 1. Sahib Biwi Aur Ghulam : In what world, a movie with such intense and emotional story and the greatest acting spectacle on a silver screen by a female lead just gets the verdict 'hit'. The aura of the character of Choti Bahu is so huge and impactful that it changed the personal life of meena kumari for ever. It had every right to be celebrated on the same level as a Mughal-e-Azam or a Pakeezah. This movie had everything from legendary music, out of the world cinematography, godly acting, An intense and emotional story. Where did it lack? Why it is not an all time blockbuster. Is it because it didn't cost a lot of money or is it because it didn't took 20 years to be made? I am 19 years old and I had got no reason to care about an actress who died 32 years before my birth but when I saw this movie, I fell in love with Meena Kumari. And I literally don't care about any other actress from that generation. If this doesn't speak volumes about this movie and her performance in this movie then I don't know what does? 2. Amar Prem: This was an another masterpiece. This had almost the same cast as Aradhana. But, according this movie had a better story than Aradhana and the movie was also better than Aradhana. Again this movie had a great story, legendary music and great acting, what else do you want in a movie? 3. Majhli Didi : This movie got the worst treatment of them all, it flopped. Meena Kumari has a lot of underrated movies. It had such a simple and beautiful story, that it made most people watching it cry. What do you want from a movie that it brings out your emotions from within your heart. Sachin as a child artist got a national award for this movie. And Meena Kumari, again, nothing to say. The greatest actress of all time. Maybe the reason for the underchievement or failure of these movies was that they didn't contain any cheap comedy, or cheesy romance, or out of the world action scenes. These were simple, heart touching and grounded stories.

Superb movies were made in 1972. Coincidentally, I have seen almost all top 10 movies of this year. Undoubtedly,Rajesh Khanna, Dharmendra,Hema, Mumtaz, Jaya were the top performers of that year. Soulful lyrics, melodious music and great singers gave us the best songs in this year. It was the golden Era of Hindi cinema

I got your point initially also but my question was.. there is no category of hit or flop..if audience feels entertained by a Film the film can be successful.... Victoria no 203 was entertaining Film.. deserved to be successful at least in those years..👍👍

@@rakeshsadeo I guess there will always be a place in Indian cinema for what they call masala movies….. Victoria 203 would fall in that category in that era. But then fast forward a couple of decades and we still have brainless movies such as Dabaang and Jawan, which the audience laps-up. I wonder what is stopping Indian cinema from breaking off from the stereotype and make good commercial movies with strong plots (Arth, Arth Satya) or with some space for female actors to act? Is it too financially risky to make such movies for the producers? Or is it about not having the talent to create such good movies? Or is it about the audience?
