That really took the "edge" out of the sound that it had before, it sounds much cleaner.

The amplifiers you removed were most likely S50 models which are 50 watts RMS. They can be replaced with refurbished S100 model (100watts RMS), AM100 (100 watts RMS, also available in a 2 channel model) or now the M5 model which is 68 watts output with two discrete channels. Allen organ's amplifier inputs are high impedance. This is grandfathered in from the days of Allen's vacuum tube instruments. Allen only provides service documentation for digital instruments to dealerships and certified technicians. I don't always agree with the way Allen does things but I work within their constraints in order to maintain a good relationship with the dealer and keep from being sued.

An interesting project in restoring obsolete technology, but why not just gut the console and install a Hauptwerk digital interface system .It would provide more authentic and unlimited pipe organ sounds.

Want a real "moving" experience ? Try the three channel version through EAW KF850' with SB 528 subs... I did in a very large church. Let me tell you its like a pipe organ on steroids.
