Electrics cars may be the way forward but I doubt very much that they could ever replace the feeling someone gets when driving something like this. An absolute classic.

Oh Peter, Peter, Peter, you are such a cruel man! That. CSL took me back to when I was 11 years old. My late father was the PDI Manager for BMW Concessionaires Ltd. Like every 11 year old boy I was a car nut (nothing has changed there). Dad came home telling me about this stunning car that had just arrived. The following day after school I cycled down to BMW Concessionaires Headquarters in Chiswick High Road and there was this amazing car in the same yellow colour as the one in your video. The sad thing is that I never got a ride in one.

I seem to remember the car became David Blackburn, the CEO of BMW Concessionaires company car and the lower half was painted dark blue. After BMW took over importing BMWs themselves, David Blackburn went on to found the Colt Car Company, which became Mitsubishi Motors U.K..

Couldn’t agree more Pete, to me, that era of Beemer is the best, just looks so good . I remember an ex boss of mine had a 2002tii and it was so ahead of its time. Munich Legends have some gorgeous cars in, about 5 miles from me over on Ashdown Forest. From a neighbours experience with them when he had a 8 series that needed some work doing, they are extremely fair too.

Excellent example of a true classic. These 'mechanical marvels' will never be repeated and should be cherished. I love the dash, dials, interior and the external body line design, this has been lost in modern cars. This is what reviewing is all about...examples of ultra modern battery🔋 powered and absolute classics of internal combustion 👌 You must have been in your element Ped 👌 I, like many others, will always love the internal combustion, 'proper driving pleasure'... Lesson learnt quickly of power & rear wheel drive after pulling out of a junction in the wet coming out sideways bonus-it was tax free. Was a tough choice as the first golf grid was out in production too. Added bonus all tax free. Made a good profit when I put it in for part ex on the first Audi RS3

Why today's cars are not that beautiful? They got gadgets, fuel efficiency, power, ecological standards, they got comfort, higher range, and they can be really good looking, but they lost their real beauty. Being beautiful car is something completely different from the good looking car. The most prominent element of this video is the smile on the face while driving this BMW.

There was a standard 3.0 CSi abandoned in the Vauxhall London Tesco car park.. In around 2002? Don't think even the Tesco is still there, if indeed it was a Tesco. I looked at it in its silver coachwork, quite a few times wondering,. It would have cleaned up well, looking like a decent straight car. Who does that? This is indeed the coolest BMW ever made, absolutely no doubt, 2002, no, M1 comes closest, but isn't beautiful like this. The 700 is lovely, don't like the 507 styling so much. Of the more modern era, the M3(E30) is best. Saying that the only BMW I had was a 2000 Lux 67 which was also very nice and I preferred the styling over the very similar 2002. Then I went for Minis and Triumphs. Then Fiats and Alfas.. then zzzzzzzz. Cars. Jeez.
