I used the same method a coupe months ago on my 70. Seeing that you did it the same way with your level of experience makes me feel way better about how I did it haha

These videos are amazing dude. Even your earlier videos the amount of detail is incredible. Ive watched dozens of floor pan videos and noticed nobody really says how they finish the welds after they grind them down before primer. Some people have been putting fiberglass bodyfiller to cover pinholes but I hate that idea. Any secrets to get rid of pineholes on butt welds? I know your mostly doing spot welds with seam seal but what about butt welds? Excellent job dude love it

Thank you. Not to sound full of myself but there shouldn't be that many pin holes in your welds. I get it every now and then there will be one that comes up, but if each weld has pin holes its from impurities or lack of gas coverage or just bad technique/ settings. I run my argon mix higher, I also run my heat hotter on the rosette welds to really burn out the impurities. What also might help you with contamination is after you put your panel in place go through with a small wire wheel on a drill the long kind and hit all your spot holes and get down to clean metal before you weld. If you do get a pin hole every now and then epoxy the whole seam and it should be so small you can spot putty it on top of epoxy and the 2k primer should be filling it. Here below is a link to some pictures I took for you this morning of some of my welds with what I was explaining. Before you are grinding they should look somewhat similar to this.
@Carthage Classic Cars this is very helpful thanks again. I really appreciate all the details you go through and taking the time to answer my questions. This makes 100% sense

Thank you and I might let you know in the future the owner took an extra week or two looking for this floor pan as most are backordered now
