Nice car, and sounds great. Brought back memories of Tim's '78. Originaly black, 350, 4 spd., he figured they were a dime a dozen. He had a friend install a supercharged 396, and a Richmond 5 spd. Had the car painted silver, and added bling rims. But had several issues with the car. Through word of mouth he dropped the car off at my brother's garage. Can't blame the guy for being nervous, leaving the car at a strangers garage. Did a complete tune up, rewired the ignition, fixed the electric cooling fans, rebuilt the carb. He just kept coming back. Rebuilt the entire suspension, my brother had an oopsie. Rear half shaft broke away from the diff. Smashed through the battery box and trunk floor. Tim just laughed about it, said you found a week link, I'll get the parts for you to install.

Pretty car. This owner drives his car. And wasn't afraid to put his own touch on it. I imagine he put lots of miles on it when it was stock. 600 H.P. is a lot in any car. You can tell he enjoys it. That's what counts. After all it's his car and the original owner.

Lou, The "original owner" represents the car as an LT-1 when it clearly is not a 72 LT-1 car. I know, because I owned one. Lot's of clues give it away but the tach yellow/red line gives it away. Don't get me started with the "extra tach" or the fact that he using the interior HP, compression, torque, and displacement badge in the console from a 1970 LT-1 car. Almost all corvette purest have lost their appetite after watching this video. I very much enjoy all your videos, especially the one of the DeTomaso Mangusta

Gee, I guess this Vette means business! My favorite vintage of corvettes for sure, always dreamt of one as a kid. I saw the badge on the console....Was the engine really 11-1 compression in 1972? Perhaps he changed the console for the automatic...Very cool car, still want one!

@Ruby Lee I have a original big block 454 with original 4 speed (rock crusher) with factory A.C., FOR SALE. Dad passed, and the family is selling the house and cars. Rare 454/4-speed/A.C./ Tilt Tele/T-top/Hooker headers with side pipes. Stock engine, except Holley carburetor & Hooker headers. But Big Block Chevy can make 650 +++ Hp. Those Hooker headers will help make BIG Hp. ( NO CATALYTIC CONVERTER). The first catalytic converter was 1975. So Hook Headers/ side pipes are legal. Just leave a comment, if you want to buy. Also NO RUST. this is a desert car. No rain, No RUST.

I put sidepipes on my 1978 Camaro. The week I put them on, every one of my friends got burned on the right calf and I had a matching burn on my left calf. The long header primaries and side-pipes essentially surrounded the passenger compartment with hot pipes and bathed everyone inside with heat. It was miserable in the summertime with the hot air pouring in through the open windows when I slowed down, and the pipes were too loud even with the restrictive slip-in glasspack mufflers installed. I eventually backed up over a curb and crushed the too low to the asphalt primaries. I put my old headers and dual exhaust back on and that was that. The sidepipes looked great, but never worked good on the street and my car ran faster with the old headers and turbo mufflers.
