We are proud to offer a very special 72 - the last of the dual "Bumper cars". This Coupe started its life like a regular 350/200 Coupe, but pretty much everything was just upgraded. Its heart is now a fresh GM 355 (350 bored 30 over), recently done, balanced, blue printed, all machine work just done. Has Aluminum heads, intake 200 cc, Crane Gold aluminum rockers, Air Gap aluminum intake, 750 Holley carburetor, new Aluminum radiator, Aluminum hand fabricated engine covers. Engine was just installed and literally has only 5 miles on it. Heavy duty Ignition by Billet MSD distributor, mechanical advance with 6AL MSD Ignition amplifier. Engine breathes out via Hooker Super Competition with Ceramic Thermal Barrier, connected to a 2.5 inch exhaust system, ending with Flowmaster 40-series mufflers. Steering is all new Borgeson steering system. Factory 3-speed Automatic transmission was replaced by a Silver Sport 4L80E 4-speed Automatic transmission with TCI made TCU (transmission control unit) programmable for shift points and converter lock. Braking was upgraded to Wilwood light weight Aluminum brakes, drilled and slotted rotors, steel wheels run on new tires. Check out the GM-style Big Block hood for more aggressive stance, besides, it was needed due to the high-rise manifold.
Car has documented 61K miles as documented by previous title showing actual miles. Chassis is beautiful. Body is painted correct according to the trim tag, in a stunning Sunfire Yellow, very recent and virtually flawless. Chrome bumpers are new, Chrome parts are intact. Interior is fitted with new Leather seat covers with new foam, new carpet, new door panels, new dash. It came AC equipped, all piping is there, but the compressor installation is left to the new owner. All gauges and instruments are functional, speedo, tach, temperature, oil pressure, alternator, even clock! Vacuum operated headlights work great, too.
This special Corvette is virtually a wolf in sheep's clothing, as pretty much everything mechanical and cosmetic was upgraded with high end components: engine, steering, brakes, ignition, interior.
