OMFG. What a BEAUTIFUL car! I have owned three Gran Torinos, one of them a Rally Sport like Starsky & Hutch used to drive. Piss-poor gas mileage, but what power and class! Jeez, and to think I spent only two grand on them! My faves were the '73 and '74.

Always really liked the 72-73 Gran Torino Sport/Montego GT body style...even though they didn't perform quite like the earlier 68-71 versions. Still a mean looking car. I'd do a few aftermarket upgrades to the low compression 351CJ to make it perform more like an earlier high compression engine. Lose the smog pump, bigger carb, headers, and dual Flowmaster Super 40s would wake up that smog choked 351CJ a bit

@@bultacowally Style? Yes. Build quality? No. It's a minor miracle to find one of these that's hasn't been infested by the tin worm.

I have some miles in one of these. Girl friends mom had one. She let us roll in it a time or two. It was a Gran and it was a dog. It's amazing we think they are cool now. Listen to the belts on that thing. At least it's real.

In 1969 my grandfather at the young age of 68 Y/O went to a Ford Dealer and ordered a brand new Torino Fastback with a 429 CJ engine. After a considerable wait the dealer called and said the car was in. To his surprise and disappointment after all the waiting a Galaxy 500 fastback with the 429 engine had been sent. So he left the dealer disgusted and walked across the street to the Chrysler Plymouth Dealer and bought a '69 Plymouth Road Runner off the showroom floor instead. That was the end of my love for Ford and the start of my new found and eventual lifetime love for MOPAR....true story. Still do like the old Fords but hate the new ones...especially Mustangs. Owned a late model 'stang for 4 years....augh what a POC...never again.

@sha broussard Worse than that, about 3 weeks ago i mentioned to a friend on my home phone that i needed to buy a new keyboard, it's on it's 5th computer. stained ,cigarette burns, staring to look bad. a while after being on the phone with my friend i shut down my computer.turned it back on about 2 hrs later and my keyboard no longer works,so i can't get in my profile, luckily the other profile had no password, on that profile the keyboard works, and from there i would switch to my profile ,for 3 days that was how i would access my profile, then on the 3rd day ran my anti virus and it fixed it.

@sha broussard they might make your wish illegal. their are states that own all water, including what is falling from the sky,and some citizens where forced to give up their water collection, like many do to water their flower or garden.one rancher was threatened with 10k$ a day fine if he did not get rid of his pond on his ranch, the world is getting pretty fucked up with all the psychos in power

@sha broussard yes that is one of the videos, but still does not give government the right to own rain

Please don't get me wrong when I say this, because Gran Torino's are beautiful, but the 72-76 were incredible space wasters. The 79 LTD rides a shorter wheelbase but uses space better. No insult.

Unfortunately these car were notoriously gas consumming especially the Rancheros. Would have been quicker if it was a bid lighter.
