My first car purchase was a 1972 Elan+2. Red, with a silver top. What a fun car to drive. Great handling, but it did have its drawbacks with mechanical issues! A true love story- ups and downs, but what a fun ride!

Those seats are really out of place in that car, there are modern but classic looking alternatives.

I actually like the look of an old car with modern race seats,belts and steering. it has its charm
@Charleybones7 жыл бұрын
The seats might provide a little more safety in this car in the event of an accident. A Lotus Elan handles like a sharp knife through the turns. Having a pair of firm sport seats with support on both sides could only make the driving pleasure of the car even better. Keep the seats...

This character says he spent ages researching specifications before deciding which car to look for. That being the case, he would know that Lotus never made a convertible version of the Elan +2. Any that exist were created by sawing off the roof. I will admit that the conversion works, but wish people would not do such a thing. A conversion I approve of is to fit a 5 speed gearbox. A Ford Sierra box does the job well. The last +2 model was the +2S 130/5, which got a 5 speed box using Austin Maxi gears in a special Lotus casing. No, it didn't have a cable gear linkage.

Soranut Ratanavaraha The video is made to look like cinema crop but it is actually a 16:9 video with black bars added top and bottom. The 16:9 displays are common nowadays and it looks pretty much the same on a standard display but there are some people with 21:9 displays that should be able to watch this video full screen without any black bars. Since they add black bars those people with 21:9 displays only see a small picture surrounded by black bars everywhere.
