There was one just like this parked in a gas station every morning as my school bus drove by (1977). Every morning Id look out the bus window and think that was the most incredible looking car. Ill never forget that feeling. Amazing that machinery can also be a work of art.

Love the car, but they did NOT offer the 383 in 72, it was replaced by the 400 cubic inch .

Back in 88 I sold my 71 for $2500.00 and the guy who has it now has restored it all original. I even helped him locate the original 383 (i has installed a 440+0.30). I wish I could buy it back but I can't afford it now!😥 It is gold with gold stripes.

Oh, one more thing the engine designations on the fenders show 383,... no 383s were available on these. The 383s had been superseded by the 400 ci. engines. Beautiful car but not concours level, that's a shame.
@donaldtalton13573 жыл бұрын
72 was a throwaway year. Couldn't out run anybody with a 70-71 'anything". But, hey it will look good at the neighborhood 'car shows'
@johnsimpson54063 жыл бұрын
Just wanted to know when was it repainted? While the strobe style stripes are correct for the year and the Air Grabber hood bulge is correct, my files show no availability of the fender stripes with that hood bulge, and I have never seen one like that in all my Mopar decades, let alone that the stripes are not the flat black that they should be, nor the hood bulge. The points made below about the inside door panels and seats not matching the Road Runner trim level appear to be accurate and the exhaust tips are not correct.

Bozo Nick Baker has been watching to much Barrett-Jackson Auto Auctions. Cut that price in half if you want to sell that car as a 1972
@MoparRob4403 жыл бұрын
There wasn't a 383 in '72 either...should be a 400 if it's a B engine that year. Also, the back of the hood should not be black...that was a '71 thing...the few '72 with the N96 option just have the bubble painted in organisol...which is a sort of textured black. Lastly, the most obvious thing, the car has a '71 grille and header panel emblem.

Damn, that is a sexy ride. I want one so bad one day. That one is perfect. I didn't know they made the back shades for these that's cool. Love the color, maybe just a wooden steering wheel and that's it. Sorry you gotta sell it, wish I could buy it.

Love to own that car. Minor changes though. Lose the widow louvers, although I know they serve a purpose. Front fender stripes are a bit much. OEM exhaust tips and wheels. Still an awesome car.

WOW.... LONG AGO... I was walking through a fig orchard... way down black canyon road,,, and I came upon this model car... completely shot up riddled with bullet holes...The hood was gone the engine was gone... doors fenders and bumpers were still intact ALTHOUGH SHOT TO SHIT... both bumpers survived..... even in that state the car was NOT DEVOID OF CHARACTER.....it has been well over twenty years since.... I still CANNOT FIND MY WAY BACK TO THAT GRAVE YARD.... It was rumored that a drug cartel used the area to grow large amounts of marijuana... i could faintly smell it... I WONDER WHAT THE STORY WAS BEHIND THAT CAR BEING SHOT UP PARTIALLY STRIPPED AND LEFT IN THE OLD FIG ORCHARDS....

Hi, maybe. but is better if you sell it yourself. I will have to give you NADA trade value. and sell it myself.
Also, incorrect seat covers (they look homemade) and incorrect Satellite door panels.

You could get a 3 speed manual and automatic on floor console or column shift
@johnsimpson54063 жыл бұрын
As regards this comment, while the point about the Torqueflite automatic is correct only a 4 speed manual transmission was available by this time, the 3 speed manual transmission had long since disappeared from the order forms for high performance Mopar B bodies.
@MoparRob4403 жыл бұрын
@@johnsimpson5406 that's not true. I have personally seen a '71 Superbee (Charger) 3 speed stick car...so not exactly "long disappeared".
