1972 Steelers (8-3) vs Browns (8-3) - WTAE Radio Only, Fleming and Cope

WTAE radio broadcast only featuring Jack Fleming and Myron Cope pitting the 8-3 Steelers against the 8-3 Browns to decide the AFC Central.
The Steelers demolish the Browns on both sides of the ball. Rookie sensation Franco Harris ties Jim Brown's record of 6 straight games with 100 yards rushing, while the fledgling Steel Curtain defense posts the Steelers' first-ever shutout of the Browns, and their first shut-out since 1963.
So dominant are the Steelers that Franco's 128 yards from scrimmage (102 rushing and 26 receiving) surpasses Cleveland's entire offensive output (just 126 total yds).

Thank you so very much. You have no idea. I could go on a great rant but I won’t. My feelings about a simple radio broadcast like this are too strong to manage at this point. I’ll just thoroughly enjoy it instead. I’m SO thankful!!!

You guys are the greatest, thanks for posting this, it's great to hear Myron and Jack calling the game, which back then you couldn't watch home games on TV, you had to turn on WTAE am/fm to listen to the games, unless you had a great antenna to watch them on the out of Pittsburgh stations.

Not sure what you mean. I generally convert whatever is on the tape. If it's there in the original, I leave it in the conversion. I don't remove commercials, edit huddles, etc.

@Tim McMillen - mcmillenandwife not meaning to aim that COMPLETE at you , you do a great job maintaining the original game integrity. It's other sites that claim to post complete games then I pull them up and they're 1 hr 45 min or something like that and in 360 or 240p is blurry. Your quality of video is good too.

😂 Haha! But at the time, it was crazier that the Steelers had a winning record, because they'd only had 4 winning seasons in the previous 40 years and were only 3 years removed from 1-13.
