In my dream (realistic, almost attainable) garage, my '71 CB450 would be cuddled up with one of these laye model T100 Tigers. Man I love the look of these!

Tiger is the single carb model. The daytona has twin carbs

Delightful. I prefer the 500 and 350 to the 650 twins. OK, they don't have as great a top whack but they shake a lot less and don't seem to do the 'walk' when revved up on the mainstand.

Yep! And therefore they don´t rattle apart neither. :)

Faster acceleration and better handling. If you rebuild one with good parts, it's probably got the top end to match the 650. There are so many ways to mix and match these triumph parts. The 500/350 is a more reliable engine I think too. The 650/750 started having problems in later productions.

I don't think this is a 1972 model, I have a 1972 650 Bonneville and it has "oil in frame" reservoir and conical shaped brake hubs, nice bike though.

It is a 1972 model. The T100 Daytona continued into the early 1970's still with the old type frames with the separate oil tank and the earlier front forks and drum brakes, they were never produced with the front forks, oil bearing frames or conical hub drum brakes like the 650 twins or the unit singles, but they were fitted with the same indicators, handlebar switch gear, speedo & tacho and rear light unit as the OIF bikes. They also produced a limited number of the T100 fitted with the front forks and disc brake from the T140. They did fit the T100 engine into the OIF chassis of the unit singles with conical hubs, that was the Triumph Adventurer. Lovely bike with a polished alloy petrol tank and a rather odd silencer tucked underneath the bike, pretty much a BSA B50 with a Triumph 500 twin engine.

What is the difference between a daytona and a Bonneville? They look the same to me. 👂

Daytona has a 500cc engine. Bonneville was 650cc, then 750cc.

The detail of the left side clutch cover is a dead give away. Daytona has a rounder appearance.
