1972 YAMAHA TX750 which is 750cc of YAMAHA's first motorcycles. a powerful and excellent exhaust sound! also it has 4stroke twin OHC with a vibration reducing balancer.
My TX 750A was imported from Japan to Brisbane, Australia in 2015, I just love it.

I get all nostalgic watching your bike. My TX 750 was the exact same colour a 74 year model. It had oil cooler and twin disc brakes up front. It was my first big bike and I loved it so much. Happy riding! 😎

The TX750 that Yamaha made for the first time of 4-stroke 750cc motorcycle. that has some weak points but it has so sweet and nostalgic feels. I love so much the TX750.
had 4 of these after the recall. Got them cheap. They all needed work. The secret was to put needle bearings on the camshaft. No more floged out camshaft bearings and loss of oil pressure. As well as removing exhaust centre manifold. They were awesome good on gravel roads too. Good times

Thank you for your information of the solution to these problems of TX750!! and, when you look back on memories, you tend to forget the pain and struggles you experienced. It’s so strange.

The best looking bikes ever made came from the 70's IMO. CB750's, Z1's. Norton 850 Commando's, Triumph Tridents and Rocket 3's. The list is endless. I have a '79 HD Super Glide Shovelhead that looks like the bike Don Johnson stole in the movie HD and the Marlboro man. Now that's a good looking bike. As hard as they try now to make retros, they still don't look as cool. Love the TX 750 too.

Thank you for your comment. The HD Super Glide and Low Rider of Shovelhead are my favorite! these are so cool as the 70s Japan and European famed motorcycles. I think The 1970s is the golden age of motorcycle!
I loved the look of the TX750 so much that I wanted to buy one when they came to Australia. However, so many of the bikes had engine problems over here that they had a very bad reputation for being unreliable. Australia is a very big country and hot too. It may have been that the engines overhead. What was the reputation of the TX750 in Japan?

The TX750 has very chic appearance and good sound and I love it so much. However, as you say. it has a weak point which are overheating in Japan, too, but there are some solutions. that removing the exhaust connection pipe and attaching an oil cooler. Besides, a latest synthetic engine oil is effective, too. by the way, this TX750 is running smoothly by use only for synthetic engine oil.

@@King07T thanks for educating me about how to make the TX750 more reliable. The trouble with classic bikes is that there are too many to choose from. There must be at least 20 classic bikes that I would love to own but my bank account and my wife will not let me buy them 😢

I was too excited to talk about my favourite bike😅 by the way, I am in a similar situation with you! Because, when I watch a list of bikes that I want, always I read my wife's mind and I look down into my purse😂

Yes your right. That's when I started buying them. Had 4 in the early 80s. Most I paid was 400. Wish I still had one. I've got tdm900 but I still think a tx750 would win in a race. Had friends with old school triumphs dragged them off with a tx which I brought for 250. Never went looking for it. The guy I brought it off was convinced it had big end problems. But it ended up being the starter motor ratchet system. I disconnected the starter chain and no knock. Was an awesome engine. Had that bike for 10 years. No problems. Till a woman turned in front of me. Good times the motor lived on. had a spare frame.

Beautiful bike, from performance and weight it looks like the Japanese Norton Commando...is this a A model?

@@King07T is it reliable then? I understood that in West wothout the enlarged oil sump and radiator the engine broke easily.

I'm afraid I am not a owner of the TX750. All I can say is that, TX750 has the fault that an engine overheats. Luckily this bike seems to be in good condition by use high quality engine oil.
