The J5 live from Japan is one of my favorites. You hear the first glimpses of the adult MJ voice while still having some of the young MJ voice at the same time.
@Milkers777Ай бұрын
This was a transitional period for young Michael going from Bubblegum Pop to Funk/Disco in their musical compositions, Michael was going through puberty and just dealing with acne, also voice was getting deeper and maturing so he sounded a bit more nasally but still skilled vocally to pull off those tough vocal notes and he was getting taller no more little adolescent Michael of the Jackson 5 they were goin on tours outside of the states globally etc. and I loved hearing MJ give one of his idols Sammy Davis Jr. so much props!

It's interesting seeing Michael here. He seems less shy and more authentic with his voice instead of him making it a higher pitch at all times. A lot more personality and interaction with people. Also love how he was one of those few examples of a child artist making a great transition with the maturity of his voice.

I wish I could make out what the guy in the audience says after Michael answers his question but it's intelligible. I believe though at the time some people were suspicious of Michael's actual age.
