On this video we are back on the 1973 Dodge Challenger and installing the front clip and all exterior body components. I will go over camber, caster and some front end alignment to get your car driving comfortable down the road. I also put on the rest of the parts making up the engine bay

I have 6 degrees in my Wangler on 37"s now the darting thing is gone. Freaking thing had a mind of it's own.

Yes I know what you mean I also have a wrangler with 38's and without good steering dampeners and some caster they can be a handful especially being such a short wheelbase. Thanks for watching

Thanks for watching, I still have a few more things to do on that car including the paint work so there will be a few more videos in that series.

When you get to this stage for alignment, you really see how important a frame jig with the k frame mounted to the jig is. You are able to install the lower control arm to check your measurements. And you can be certain all of your replacement parts are in the correct location. Thanks for all the good information and these videos.👍

Yes I feel a lot of this is what a lot of restoration people are either not doing or not talking about it.

Great work. The camber/caster are critical to drivability and a lot of people don't go to the lengths that you do to fit the front end parts properly.

I have two 73 Cuda's just did your measurement between shock towers centers one is 33 inches and the other 34 obviously a lot of tolerance in the way these are assembled. Nice job on the Challenger

Thank you and I completely believe the tolerance in the different cars and the main reason you need the cam bolts to adjust the front end. Thank you and appreciate the feedback with the measurements.

Hey I don't think you're doing that right I've been doing body work for 20-years if you don't have centerline and Adam you can't measure with the tram cuz you can have one side up or the square out-of-whack if you don't have data them I've been doing buddy working 50 years I've been trained went to school on this

I tried to understand your response. I think you are saying I need the datum line to reference off of. That is the center point and that has been pulled when the car was center mounted off the JIG 5 videos back. Maybe if this is the only video you have seen of mine it might seem like i just threw some parts on a table. So if the frame rails are built on a JIG when and I am squaring everything else off the two frame rails already set in place (factory locations of a straight car). I have also pulled string lines off all 4 corners of the suspension of this car when doing the frame rails and the body gaps line up better then factory. So I might be missing but personally don't see else I could do where your saying I did it wrong?
