They are a fun car to work on but parts can sometimes be a challenge since they do not have the popularity of the first and second generation chargers. Have fun with your projects and would love to see a video or pictures of your work !

We are just about to finish up a 1957 Chevy frame off restoration. That one is painted Plum Crazy purple and yes I know thats not a chevy color its mopar all the way. As for the 1973 Charger it has been in storage for about 4 years now so will be getting that car out of storage and who knows maybe change the color. We added a MIG welder and a plasma cutter so rust repair will now be rust removed. We just really enjoy bringing back an old car to a good driver quality car not a show car.

The interior is about 90% done and should be taking it to cruiser nights this year. The "New" project arrived last Saturday a 1957 Chevy 4 door sedan Bel Air. As for parts for the 73 Charger Ebay was probably the prime parts supplier, classic industries was a good source also. Third Generation Chargers are still a bastard child with few repro parts but slowly they are becoming more popular. as for interior parts and vinyl tops Legendary is a good source. Try dodge charger (dot) com

I need help with my car. In your video there is a shot of a red wire connected by a fuse. It originally went to my stereo? An ex took the wire, knowing that it somehow runs the transmission. He stole the stereo with it. There is also a green and black pair of wires hanging from the theft. I need someone to trace the wires for me, especially the red one with the fuse, so that I can get my 1973 Charger SE A727 tranny to move. Please reply.

Anyone know where I can get 73 interior door pull handles?
@threewheelerredneck11 жыл бұрын
That indeed does look amazing. Who was your parts supplier? Im working on one, already had the '69 383 rebuilt, so body work starts this summer. Also, I assume you're working on the interior and suspension now, where do you get those parts? I'm in Alaska, so parts are worth their weight in gold.

Excellent work, I have a 72SE that I am working on. Question--do you have a record of your resto on any website? Moparts, Dodgecharger, etc. I would like to see more of the details. Rgds. CDN72SE

Going with that color will hide all the pollen that falls on it in the spring.

What color is it and how did u paint it
@FireFighter1577 жыл бұрын
The color is sublime green and the black is hot rod matte black. I used Nason paint which is manufactured by Sherwin Williams for the sublime green. I paint a base coat then clear coat. You can get the color in single stage. Since the last video we completed the interior work and installed a legendary black vinyl top. The car is just a daily driver for fun.

Cool thanks. I am restoring a 73 charger we of my own and didn't know what the color was

There is a color that is a little greener called sassy grass green that is of that era also.

The tires are 215 70 R15's on the front and 255 60 R 15's on the rear. The 15's seem to do a pretty good job considering the weight of the car. The wide tires in the rear give the car some meat for take offs. I have never run 14's on the car so can't really compare the two sizes. Would love to see pics of your chargers my email is bblackma@rochester.rr.com
