Love your detail work Adair! I use a heat gun at two minute intervals to loosen glue, along with a paint scrapper. A must get is a Knipex pliers 8-13mm 4421J01 e-clip/circlips

That would work nicely! Found the paint scrapers after I was done. We were using them on the linoleum we pulled up in the kitchen.

I'm using the bellows clips I made since the links were so tiny that my usual working hooks wouldn't go through them. Paperclips unfolded work well too. Thanks for watching!

I can't believe anyone would GLUE the Whistle box on, let alone the music box. I think the company or person that did it was only sabotage the next person that worked on the clock.

You are correct the brass lever on my clock is in the wrong position. That is the way it was when I got the clock and I never was smart enough to put in the correct position. LOL. Thanks for pointing that out to me. Now I know. I might have 3 of the 4 pieces around here somewhere that the band members are part of to make them spin but I also modified other parts trying to figure it out. Oh well. It still works but not as it was intended to like yours. Maybe I should study the clocks more like you do before I start taking them apart. LOL. You need to invest in those spring clip plyers or make a set. Those clips are a pain. They have to be flat to stay on the shaft. I finally broke down an bought a pair of those plyers. I bought the $5 pair from Harbor freight today. I'm going to see if they will work. I have another regula to work on, the birds feeding the baby cuckoo

Wulla I have the exact same clock. However I'm having trouble with it, the pendulum will only swing back and forth a couple of times and then it stops. I've been pulling my hair out trying to figure out why. I also only have 2 band players, the red and orange shirt ones.

@@kovec69 usually it's because it needs to be cleaned and serviced, if you're clock is level and the pendulum is in the center of the wire behind it-the pendulum leader wire. Is the tick and the tock sound even?

@@cheryladair732 Already cleaned and oiled. Had the movement running outside the box, as soon as I installed it, it wouldn't keep ticking. Leveled it and all that stuff, just not working. Gonna have to take it someone who knows more than me. However I have the exact same clock.

@@kovec69 check that leader wire and make sure it's not touching any of the lift wires, and didn't get bent when you were reinstalling. Sometimes it's just something small

Your clock may be worn out the pinions should be polished and the pivots rebushed
