If you notice, the rear wheel wells are moved to the rear about 18 inches. The F350 Camper special was on a longer wheel base . Thank you for sharing !! Be safe and God bless !! Have a blessed Thanksgiving !!!!! Eddy

Here we go again with posts disappearing..... Whoa Nelley, it's a camper and it's going into the hamper...... Yes, pretty rare. "Specialty" chassis like that have to be ordered that way. Not all trucks can handle a camper, and this was one that could. Same with Ambulances today--you have to order them with the Ford option code "47A" to outfit them as an Ambulance. That tank was probably used to fuel equipment in the field on the farm where it was likely used. JB Ellsworth makes similar tanks now. Yup, we got it.....We got the VIN, we win: F35 for 2WD F-350 pickup, H for 390 V8 with two-barrel, K for Kansas City, MO assembly, aka "KCAP" (Kansas City Assembly Plant) or Claycomo assembly (which as noted still assembles F Series trucks today and has done so since the 1950s), and the rest is the production sequence, lining up with a 1973 model year truck. We got the tag, we can brag: 140 for the wheelbase of the truck in inches, X8 for Durango Tan (X) and Tampico Yellow (8) two-tone exterior paint, F355 for F-350 pickup with 8,350# Gross Vehicle Weight Rating, looks like P for four speed Warner manufactured manual transmission, 4 for 4.57:1 rear end ratio, non-locking, F350 for the basic truck model, 8350# for the maximum Gross Vehicle Weight Rating, and 52 for Dallas, TX sales district. Eddie Kidd Ford was owned by Eddie Wilburn Kidd and opened around 1970. Mr. Kidd died in 2018. Later on the dealership was known as "Eddie Kidd and Associates" and was possibly located at 121 Greenwood Cutoff Road in Weatherford, TX. Whoa Nelley, sold by Eddie Kidd and took a skid. '73 and it's over for thee. 3-9-0 and gotta go. My Lord, it's going soon to be a (very flat) Ford. Durango Tan and soon to be a soda can. That's it, time to quit. Going to be flat, and that's that. Happy Turkey Day to all, this one is going to take a fall. Going to get squished and the outdoor Camper Special FOMOCO faithful are going to be pissed.

Most of the time, you get two with trucks as they put them on both sides. That would have really irritated me.
