First motorbike I ever rode. A friend got his hands on one somehow back about 1970 or so. When you're 12 or thereabouts it's like a magic carpet!

I love this Motorbike, Honda ST70 Dax monkey bike, I had 2 of them when I was a Teenager, my Dad bought me my first one in Red like the one in this video when I was 10 years old in 1977, and I used to ride on the field opposite our house every single day after School, and my Dad also used to put the bike on the back of his Pick up and take me and my Brothers to different locations off roading, brilliant memories, and I am 55 years old now, and watching this video has got me feeling very nostalgic... Love you Lolly Mc......XxxxxxxxX

very nostalgic flashback... when I'm riding my 70s Honda Dax I almost feel more than 20 years younger, it's some kind of a time-machine... Regards from Germany, Dax-Tobi!

Hi, I always have a Black and Red Checked shirt since school days. My Precious late Father always told me he needed a shirt in the same design! I am in an Eternal Love with my presitinely maintained Yamaha RX-135,5-SPEED for the past 21 years and nothing comes closer to this Two Stroke Marvel! Daily I ride my Yamaha!

You're indecisive Sir! I *know* I do. Not wholly sure what I'll do with one until I've some off road space to run it on of course......... Over a decade ago now, wife and youngest daughter decided to learn to ride. 2 CBTs and a Honda CBR 125 later 'Oh I may as well try it too' ~ Oblivious to the fact I'm 35 kg heavier. Terrifying near traffic without the speed - more so accelaration - to get away if needs be. If its under 500cc chances are its too slow for the road unless you're built like a whippet.

Had an identically coloured st 70 FOE188L if I remember correctly. Had a half gallon tank which gave a range of 69 miles so approx 120 mpg! You could also drain carb bowl and seal petrol tank and the put in a boot of a large car. I remember my late father when riding in the garden for the first time, giving it the revs ,clicking it into gear and ending up in a holly bush! Was a great wee bike, kicking myself for selling it all those years ago. Great videos and channel.

Those bad boys were street-legal for an American teen like me in '75 in Frankfurt, West Germany and a bunch of us had 'em and they were great fun. And a big thanks to the West German government for easing the rules a bit for us military dependents--we were allowed to ride 50cc motorcycles at age 15 and bigger bikes at age 17. And they were actually capable of city-to-city riding and my favorite ride with a classmate, who had a 50cc Yamaha, was to Darmstadt and back. But riding through the woods was fun, too. And now I hear Honda may revive that original bike as a 125, and yeah, I could see myself reliving the dream. :)

Quite common back in the day, along with the CF chaly ,very similar! Getting quite rare now .I would think there quite valuable now because most will have been trashed by young kids !!!

You'd think. But A few years ago I think it was Performance Bikes stripped Gixxer Thou & a Fireblade of similar vintage & mileage. They reported they were surprised by how much less worn the Suzuki's internals were. For sure you don't know how just 2 randomly chosen bikes had been ridden so its not conclusive but... For all that I do like Hondas - possibly the sweetest handling bike I've ever ridden was a 2007 CBR 600 RR - But then - that had been set up by Honda's demo fleet for journalists to be all it could be.

Hi, I was gifted my ST70 by an uncle and I don’t really understand what you mean when you say to preselect the gear. Whenever I put the bike straight into second it jolts forward unless I’m holding the break
