In 1983 my friends grandmother had a 73. It was only 10 years old. Yet it was so rusted that you could see through it. The rust belt is a tough area for cars.

Typical of early 70s, my Dad bought a 73 omds, it started rusting in 9 months. He traded it in for a 68 two Dr. Buick.

Remember dad driving brand new 72 gold duster in white down the country lane .still smell the interior. "318". Our landlord Harry Houser owned the Chrysler dealership in Troy Ohio.
