Wally Chambers was a great forgotten player with one of the fastest first steps thru the offensive line in NFL history. He was a big part of the Bucs worst to 1st in 79.

Wally Chambers was all Bears fans had to cheer about in 1973 and 74. My Dad bought me a Bears jersey through Sears for Christmas one of those years that had Chambers' #60 on it.

This is when I used to really watch football. I was a Vikings fan and was ticked that they went 7--7 in 1972. When Chuck Foreman came in 1973 it was a different story.

Thought maybe #89 chasing Ike Hill was their future coach Mike Ditka, but its Billy Jo DuPree. Ditka's last season was 1972.

Ditka was just starting out in his coaching career as an assistant coach for Dallas. There's a highlight reel of this game floating around KZbin where he can be clearly seen for a few seconds on the sideline.

3rd worst season by winning percentage in Bears history so far. But back then Bears could still beat the Packers occasionally unlike today.
