Thanks for the swap info and explaining the difference between the different types. I've watched several of your videos and found them very helpful. I have a suggestion I hope may be just as helpful. Please consider loosing the music. Based on your production quality I'll assume you're using your cell phone. The audio and video quality are less than ideal. The added music makes it difficult to hear you or concentrate on what you're saying. Imagine having something really important to say to a family member and all they can hear is music. Top of the line vehicles like Cadillac trucks GMC Denali was DBW first generation throttle body. they looked like a DBC throttle bodies with three different wire harness , IAC . TPS IAT 03 to 07 was all DBW second Gen only one electrical connections

was wondering if you got the wire harness for the pedal why did you have to cut it to plug it into the pedal ?

In order to make that pedal work for a gen3 tach module I cut it to put the right connector end for that pedal and I switched the pin out for it to communicate the right signals but you can use the donor pedal and wire harness as is but it will take a lot of modifications to fit right on your floor board .

Okay man. Okay. I have questions and you may have answers. I have an 04 5.3, TAC, pedal, and harness all from the same truck. I have no throttle response. I’ve replaced the TAC module, the TPS, and the throttle body. Still no response. Do you have any suggestions

@@DIYWithTheRichardsons I haven’t. I have the original pedal and have tested it. It appears that it has the correct voltages. On the APPS1 wire it responds to the pedal. The APPS2 wire responds to the pedal. (Into the TAC) I get no change on the TB motor 1 or motor 2 wires. The original TAC has a “C” denoted on it. The replacement TAC has a “K” denoted on it. Both TAC modules are the Gen3 module. I’m not sure what the letter designation is.

@@DIYWithTheRichardsonsNo, I used a harness / tac module from a different vehicle, specifically a 2002 Chevy Truck. Could it be programing? I currently have the basic tune for start-up. Also, do you have a fuel line kit recommendation. I had a leak, using Evil's PTFE 6AN fuel line kit. Can't seem to redo the stretched PTFE fuel line, the adapter only screws half way down. This occurred on 3 fuel lines.

Ok I believe that’s your problem the 03 should have blue /green connectors for ecu and the 02 has blue / red connectors for ecu. You have to have the right tac module for your ecu . Watch my video again to see the difference in tac modules if you have a 03 ecu use the tac module with the metal back , if you are using an 02 ecu use the all black tac module that should fix your problem and as for the fuel lines I just use regular an -6 or -8 lines from evil unless you are running e85

Awesome video only question I have is I pulled a LQ9 out of my 2004 Cadillac and I'm going to swap it in my 1979 k5 blazer. I wanna use this pedal for my blazer since it will be a direct bolt on for my dbw intake but I'm not using my stock engine harness/stock ecu that I pulled out of the Cadillac. I bought a Holley terminator Maxx engine harness. I wonder if it will work with the pedal, tac module and harness for the tac module that I pulled out of the Cadillac.

@@DIYWithTheRichardsons the donor vehicle is a 04 Escalade blue green ecu decided to go with a tbss intanke with 4 bolt 90mm so had to get the xlink adapter for the throttle body to function I still have the stock pedal(big and bulky) and it works fine with that but won’t work with the pin out like shown in the video where I can use the diesel pedal

You can go to go tuners.com to buy the software but be careful and make sure to learn how to tune if you are going to get it because it's a lot you can do with it and just one push of the wrong button can destroy your engine
