1974 Ford F100 project (Rebuilding the Carb & getting it RUNNING)

I started a new job as a mechanic in the past few months, I've been working on and driving old manual vehicles on the daily. That motivated me to finally buy the classic truck that I've always dreamed of, a 1974 ford f100 with a 302 and a manual transmission. the trucks been sitting for quite a few years, not sure how long exactly but long enough to deteriorate. In this video I tore the carb down and rebuilt it. Then after I rebuilt it, it failed to get fuel to the carb and did not have spark so I had to resolve those issues before I could get it running, so I put a new fuel pump on it, all new spark plugs, clean the points and inside the distributor cap and I got SPARK! so she I was able to get her to crank up and run great! just smoked a little as you can imagine for sitting a few years.

You can also use a 3/8 and it won't hurt anything matter fact you're getting in love with a more feeling to bowl so it'll be easier to start cold that's what a lot of people do
