Dear Ben, I know this must have been the hardest video you've ever had to edit. Thank you for sharing just a fraction of the epic adventures you guys had together. I know this just a comment on the internet but just wanted you to know that our thoughts go out to you and his loved ones ❤ Amazing video man 🫶

Sorry for his misfortune hopefully he is fully recovered now. Just a small nitpick in the video, doesn't mean you were learning him that way but it seemed like you were telling him "stomp on that brake" That's not how you emergency brake progressivley. You have to use the front brake rather than the rear as i'm sure you'll know 70-80% is front the rest would be rear. Stomping on the rear takes far longer to stop plus locking up and skidding and could be the difference in hitting something or stopping. Anyway i just wanted to throw that in there should anyone be viewing this in the future and mistakes anything you may of said in the video.

Yes he’s all recovered now! Well I was trying to him used to how the bike reacts to hard braking. His previous bike you could grab 100% of the front brake and it wouldn’t flip. But this bike had wayyy stronger brakes so I wanted him to get a feel for the limits of the brake capacity of this bike so he could use his previous learned skills of how to properly brake.

They continued this dash all the way until 2016 in the XL and XLT models. Mine is a 2016 XLT. My dad has a lariat 2016 and he has the taller dash with the nice screen. This is the broke boy dash.

why was there red grease on the driver side stub shaft compared to the pass side?
@Benjamminoutdoors
@Benjamminoutdoors 17 күн бұрын
I’ve replaced the driver side, and put red high temp bearing grease on it a few years back. The passenger side is factory.

Your comment at 11:10 seconds about buying something from them for an older vehicle, yeah, don't do that either unless you want to waste more money. I bought carpet from OC Custom Carpets (reseller for Auto Custom Carpets) for my 81 D150, 2WD. They clearly sent me the carpet for a 4WD vehicle where the trans tunnel is about 2 higher and wider. Despite me sending them pictures, video, measurements and returning the carpet at their request so they could verify the issue, they insist it was an installation error, despite the sides fitting perfectly and only the tunnel (the only difference between 2WD and 4WD) not fitting. I ended up out not only the $40 to ship it to me, but the $8 tag fee, plus another $40 return shipping fee + a 30% restocking fee. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qITUcmuZabZ-aqM is the video I sent them along with all of the pictures. They claim that fits perfectly on their mold (they even sent me a picture on the mold, where the contours of the carpet did not match a 2WD tunnel and it was clearly still lumpy from being loose and too large). Sucks.

Please, for the love of god, torque the fork triple clamp, is such a minute detail but its very important, if you over torque de triple clamp the cartridge is going to colapse the interior, resulting in an awful suspension performance

Your insurance card should be kept with your DL and registration in your wallet. Why on earth are you leaving sensitive information with your bike? More importantly (yes I agree, all this was stupid)
