I have a used Honda 600 2004 cbr RR that heats up to 80 and then stops cooling and starting. What is the reason

Use a heat gun to loosen it up but don’t cook it lol. You have to massage it

Yeah I’m not doing that, that’s a load of crap if they expect the customers to put up with that.

Welding with the oxy/ace? You mean brazing? Or do you mean cuts? either way, good for you.

Would you recommend a whole motor inspection for a bike over 31000 miles in mileage?
@Benjamminoutdoors

I’d do a valve adjustment if it’s never been touched and I’d look at everything while you’re there but 31k isn’t that much in all reality!

@@Benjamminoutdoors Thank you! I found a CBR 600 RR '08. The owner is practically giving it away only problem is he said the head gasket is blown & they don't have time to fix it. I'm thinking twice about it, because there's probably more damage to the motor?

keen on starting my first rebuild. found a 2000 R6 (technically not a rebuild because electronics and mechanics are working but I want to modernise the bike and replace everything that needs to be replaced) so I'm watching learning the different parts and what to tackle first along the journey. Thank you for being so detailed in your explanations! All the way from South Africa

Yeah as @bazz69 commented, you probably need to clean the carburetor, clogged jet can make it run like crap and produce knocking sounds. old gas usually equals a carb clean. I own a 2005 DRZ-400s and I’ve cleaned the carb several times if it sits to long, before winter comes I put non-ethanol gas in it, because it will last longer. waiting for an update on the progress. Thanks for sharing your purchase.

just a tip for you, as i run a smaller mig welder off my bobcat a ton when im chasing docks and doing alot of aluminum welding. if youre ever in a position of needing extension cords go 10 gauge and thicker. anything else youll be running back to the welderator flipping breakers
@Froggies505
@Froggies505 Ай бұрын
oh and run it off of 220 as much as possible from the welderator if your small machine allow you to switch between 110 and 220. much more conistent and easier running

So you have had this for a while is it reliable, how has the engine held up. Im in the process of buying one of these and i want to know if the engine is a reliable. I have a Subaru engine on a generator and although its not the same engine it has been pretty reliable.

Did you have to have the transmission programmed after installation? I am about to swap in a good used 6r140 and want to plan ahead if it's needed. That way, i can line up a trailer to haul it to the dealer.

I have to tell you this is the first video of yours that I've watched and I have to tell you I am absolutely thoroughly impressed I really love motorcycles but what I love more a kid no disrespect intended I'm 54 years old I have children your age I'm sure you're not far off for my kids ages and I have to tell you I'm watching what you doing and your willingness to get out there and try something and learn something new and figure things out and not just sitting there hiding and playing on a computer all day you earned a lot of respect for me right there the work you're doing on that bike is killer most people twice your age couldn't do that keep pushing and I'm telling you if you love stuff like that you can make it darn good living at it, I know people that would pay right now to have you do what you're doing to that bike to theirs keep it up young man I wish more young people could follow what you're doing and be able to put for that effort or even want to put forth the effort to do something for themselves I think it's awesome and I hope you'll tell your parents that I said damn good job people damn good job

You need to have it in run not idle when you hook up the mig or run your house so the volts are up to 120. You did a good job on it. I was worried the cover wouldn’t go on when you welded the exhaust pipe to the muffler.
@Froggies505
@Froggies505 Ай бұрын
not true, it idles itself up, thats why the first switch is a run/idle
@kelleypack1000
@kelleypack1000 Ай бұрын
You don’t have instant 120 voltage or 60 hz if it’s in idle and it has to rev up to 3600 rpm to get to 120 volts or 60 hz. When your in idle your at 38 hz or 2300 rpm. It’s fine for grinders and such but I wouldn’t start a welder or my house electronics in idle. Do big deal I would just be careful with electronics starting at that low voltage.
