That sound brought a smile to my face, really nice build, love the forks.

A customer brought in a 74 RD350 with something like 1200 miles on years ago that needed tires and cleaned and tuned from sitting for years. It was the Root Beer brown with black and orange trim model. I had some difficulty getting the points dialed just right at first but when I finally did HOLY CRAP! It was a monster. Especially taking 2nd and 3rd gears. I helped around the shop when I was a teenager for Steve Schuckman. He raced RD's and RZ's at PIR in the 80's. He had his old RD race engine sitting in the shop and I had an RD with bad seals but he wouldn't sell me the engine because I was 15 at the time and he said that engine when he raced it would hit 170 MPH down the straight out of turn 9 and he didn't want my death on his hands. His 85' RZ 350 Kenny Roberts edition wasn't even as hot as the old RD. Those were the days.

Such a nice build! What triple clamps did you use to adapt those newer forks? What hubs did you use for the wheels?

As this is not quite a stock motor and it looks like you are running the autolube pump. My question is - Have you stroked the pump to deliver a bit more oil?

Wow. Beautiful job on that RD350. It sounds wonderful. What are you doing with the RZ? My channel is mostly RZ related and I'm currently at about 57 episodes doing a resto mod on a 85 NC2 RZ350. I'll poke around your channel. Maybe it will answer my question. Oh, I see reading comments you are a "shop". Nice work.

I’m not a “shop”! I’m a guy that likes motorcycles! Haha, I’ve checked out your stuff! Pretty good content, your bike looks nice! I just put my RZ back together, only test ride something went wrong, so I’m going to tear down and inspect, not sure what happened!?

Who makes your rear sets? I have a set of motocarerras but would be interested in a set with folding pegs like the ones you have on this bike.

Nice, those expansion chambers look huge. If my mind is still intact I believe those fat pipes give more torque than narrower expansion chambers.

No way Ben. It’s a 2 stroke bro. It will be just fine! If he mixes the oil with gas he will be fine bro! It has nothing to do with the pipes man! The correct tubes in the tires will make up for the lost torque bro. That just 101 of biking little dude.
@benkrom27372 жыл бұрын
@@jackdipper7686 Yeah, I know it's a 2 stroke. I bought an R5 in 1971 new. It was the predecessor of the rd 350. Only had 5sd tranny,drum brakes and didn't have reeds. Didn't have have as much lower end torque as reeds but a little better top end. Fat expansion chambers and reeds were on the dirt bikes before the road bikes. Back in the 70's I remember buying long thin expansion chambers took away low end power with a gain in top end. Eventually they improved the Reed valves so there wasn't any top end loss. Is a nice bike. My 71 with porting, pipes and tune would top out at 135mph. LOL that was 50 years ago, a little before you were swimming in your daddy's balls Bro !
