Thanks for all the help man! I'm installing CV joints on a 71 TR6 and your videos have helped me through much of the process.

One of the weaknesses of the TR6 design can be seen at 1:30 - the studs that hold on the brake back plate and axle are steel - and the trailing arm is aluminum. a little over-tightening with a wrench will strip them out. You can try to re-install them using helicoils or other methods, but this is a critical attachment - it holds the whole assembly together. Best solution - find a replacement trailing arm. Speaking from experience here.

Hello Elin, Another great video thanks. A couple of points. My TR6 had the lever arm shocks replaced with telescopics but with the top end just bolting through the inner wing. The car has quite an agressive setup as was built up for track days by the original importer. The top had cracked the inner wing with all the shock being aplied where it shouldnt. So I changed back to brand new lever arm shocks and have been surprised that it really seems to have affected bump steer of the back end. Some day I will get a proper kit for teles that applies the load back into the chassis. A tip from I think Roger Williams re the splines is if you have a bit of slop in them you can try changing side to side and the wear is then on the opposite face when load comes on. I think we all need to use a spacer when dropping the suspension down to full travel during servicing - as those bump stops even new really arent up to full compression I dont think. THanks again Elin . Cheers.

That was a great video Elin. You’re like a month ahead of me. I’ve finished the frame and mine looks like yours. Now I’ve gotta do the trailing arm / spring / shock overhaul, and then I’m caught up to you. But please keep moving forward, this content is great.

Elin, I'm new to your channel. I just bought a 1971 TR6. I enjoy your videos a lot. Just curious - why would you not change out the bearings in the differential while you had them out? I look forward to your answer. Thanks, Randy Gibson

Hey Elin, do you happen to know what happened with Peter's channel 'Jademuttley'? I cannot seem to find it, he deleted his account, was banned or something?

I know this is completely going to drive every enthusiast crazy and I apologize in advance haha I got my dads 69 tr6 now and it’s been sitting in the garage for 30 years super clean car all original zero rust. But I’m wanting to put my own taste into the car make it a fun cruising show car and mow when I want it to be and not so low when cursing the interstate. So I’m thinking about going with air bag suspension. In theory can I run air bags in the rear with out the spring? Since air bags have everything integrated?
