Hi Guys, I've just stumbled across your mk111 Norton engine rebuild, thoroughly enjoyed every minute, I bought a new electric start model in 1976 for £945 !!, but watching you discover the clutch issue on the trident brought memories flooding back, I had one of these before I bought the Norton, the clutch was the reason I sold it, if I remember it was a Borg & Beck single plate clutch, but the main thrust race used to destroy itself every couple of months and the debris used to weld itself to the clutch shock absorber body, it didn't matter how many times I tried to get the adjustment right on the lifter plate it always caused issues, mind you I was only 17 and still wet behind the ears, hope you have more luck with it, Clive,. Thanks for the great comment, and Trident information this clutch situation will be something that we will attempt to make right I have heard alot of things about Trident clutch assemblies we will have to see if this is something we can fix, thanks for your history on your Trident

Maybe the guy you bought this from had picked it up to be his next project after the Norton? Why was he selling up, health issues? Nice if you could put in the title a month and year as I have no Idea of the order to watch the playlists in, just a thought👍👍
