You have COMPLETELY reignited my love of model building!! I paint differently. Primer is your friend. Tamiya Liquid Cement is a game changer, Mod Podge is good for everything! I use colors differently and use blackwash and flocking powder. Damn - I have a PILE of models to complete. I already built the '69 F250 to look identical to my dad's old '67 F100 that I learned to drive. Just finishing up on Elvira's Macabremobile Thunderbird with leopard interior!! Waiting in queue is a Viper convertible, AAR Cuda, SVT LIghtning pickup, and Mustang convertible.

My first actual car was a 68 nova, that a so called friend got rid of for me and got my older models too. The reason I have trust issues. My second car was a 76 Datsun truck, just like this model. My first model was this exact model. I loved it. Looking forward to getting another 2, 1 to build 1 for my collection. Chris as always you did a wonderful job on this build.

I just rewatched the portion of the video where you "blued" the headers. This is a neat detail I have want to try forever. I am building an MPC Trike that is a perfect candidate for this technique. I will share my esukts on the Facebook group.

I only work on my models in the spring/summer. I have a barn that serves as a man cave(have my 1:1 toys in it and a slot car track) This video really has me jonesing to start building. I built up a stash over the winter.

That looks awesome matey..MPC are coming out with some nice kits...like the Centreline rims...it would have been good if they included a set of convo pro rims..but still awesome...

Well now I know your name hello Chris. You build beautiful models.I have a suggestion pick up the magnet jig from micro mark it's inexpensive and will hold your parts very straight till the glue dries

I loved how much milage MPC got out of the gasser chassis It definitely needs to go under a 55 chevy hopefully Round 2 will make it happen

How good does this look? I started moving furniture to make room for it when it drove off the monitor - it looked so real. I remember some of these at the drags in the 80's - they were bendy, alright. But fun to watch, even as they twisted. Thanks for a fine-tastic build.

As you may know dragsters are not my piece of cake, but I always enjoy watching your videos. They're very inspiring. BTW, I don't use rattle cans, only water based acrylics, and I wonder how long your paints take to cure. Thanks for sharing your nice job.

I use a cooler glue on my chrome pieces to prevent the gases from making my parts cloudy like canopy glue...

Hey Chris question before u start to put your model together do u soak parts in SG or do u just wash them off I used to model as a kid but haven't done so in years but watching your vids is getting me back into it so thank u for all the awesome builds

If you think this hood is bad wait till you get to the stage where you mount the hood on Fanhome's Fast and Furious Dodge Charger. But their might be hope because they also made a Japanese version that's different then what we got.

What kind of glue do you use ? I've never been able to glue chrome or painted pc. like your doing. I'd always have to scrape the chrome or paint off before gluing.

Hi Kevin, I always sand down the surfaces on the chrome parts, because I thought that there is always a thick layer of chrome and by sanding it, it fits better in the assembly. That works for me
@hpiguy Жыл бұрын
I use cheap dollar store super glue to attach final pieces like chrome. I rarely have a problem. Plastic model glue is used for bare plastic to plastic parts.

Didn't you also have issues with the seat belt decals with the Mad Mudder? Does Round2 use the same decal company as Revell? You mention it here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fpm4ZGqrlM2Za7s

They use totally different companies. It's just a run of bad luck on my end.
