Hi, great detailed videos. Do you work on other peoples lighters? I have this beautiful gold Rollagas (barley?) that’s been in a drawer for years. The roller became stuck at some point. Would like to get it working again someday. I’m sub #4! 👍🏽

Hi thanks for the sub, I do work on other people’s lighters, I don’t know where you are located but I’m in Birmingham UK 👍🏼

Where can I purchase the corkscrew tool you used to remove the fill valve? I have almost stripped mine trying to use a flathead screwdriver.

Can one repair the inlet valve? And/or do I need to purchase a replacement? Thanks.
@DunhillRollagasRestoration17 күн бұрын
@@99tsr they can be repaired but the easiest way is to buy a Ronson inlet valve like this: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/266038650051?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=asVyT6MvS8i&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=wmBl3l7MS5y&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

Was it glue, or grease, that you put into the needle base with the neoprene plug?
@DunhillRollagasRestoration13 күн бұрын
@@nathanlamp1385 it was glue, shoe glue
@nathanlamp13858 күн бұрын
@@DunhillRollagasRestoration Thanks. I just continued without. The lighter works well... for a couple days, then empties. I only changed gaskets, with no grease, and no glue on the plug, so the loss of gas isn't too much of a mystery. How many days should a newly filled rollagas last? Assume an "average" use of a smoker is 15-20 times a day, I'd wager.
@DunhillRollagasRestoration8 күн бұрын
@ I use mine constantly I would say a well used lighter should last 2 weeks+ minimum
