I learned to ride on this bike in Ojai California in 1990. Couldn't pick it up when I fell and lost most of my shin skin more than once trying to start it. The glory days!

Use to get my teeth kicked when was a kid by my buddies XL175. All I had was a little KE100 but I would be mad as hell anyway. Lol. It was a used and abused irrigation bike but it still ran good.

My neighbor had 1 of these back in the 90s when I was about 8 or 9 great bikes I love Honda. Honda fan boy here lol an nice job on the camera an sound upgrade heck yea guys

My brother had one, I think 73. We put a a rear knobby on it, would take the tail light and mirrors off and take it on the trails. What a Great Bike !

Has anyone come up with a fix for the insanely weak kickstarter shaft? They seemingly are made out of glass. The last I looked they were UNOBTAINIUM. I own one(‘73) but it sadly has a broken kicker shaft sitting in two pieces. Would love to find a solution for this. Maybe I need to call Kaplin. ??

We actually have one, it just sits. I ride my DRZ-400S more than anything. I think it has stator or magneto issue? I’ll have to trouble shoot it and take a closer look.

I don't think these bikes had a magneto. But I could be wrong. Been a hell of a long time since I had one.

How ever you do it, it will be far easier than finding the OG stock exhaust! They are like hens teeth. Not surprising they neglected to mention it was missing the correct exhaust AND side cover that they were hiding with that MX plate. Lol.
