The handheld mic is a definite audio improvement. Thanks! However, with a lapel or headset mic and a wireless belt pack, you guys could have equally good audio, and yet still remain HANDS-FREE, enabling talking while riding, and not having to hand the mic off to others, or set it on the floor/ground...

Best fun I ever had was riding a KT-250 over the desert. I think it was a KT. It was deffo a Kwakker. And it was definitely fun.

Sorry, typo, it was a KT-175. Did they even make such a machine? It was deffo a 175 wtf it was.

I bought a leftover 1975 KT 250 in 1976 for 803.00 brand new. That was at a friends shop in New Hampton. It weighed 198 lbs. and would go anywhere. The fenders should be white and it is missing the speedometer.

I remember the KT not being as 'torquey' as the Elsinore. It was much more manageable. Would that be right?

The KT should be all torque like a tractor and the Elsinore being a Motocross bike would lean much more towards high rev horsepower and close ratio gearbox for acceleration.

Sorry, I am new to Kaplan Cycles; love the vids and of the old bike. I've seen a few vids of Ken riding through the park across the street, but haven't seen him ride up the hill. When I saw this video and the sign, all I could imagine was a nasty phone call to the shop from someone not too happy that this guy was rippin' his back lawn. ; ) Now I got it; thx for the head's up.
