1975 Nashville 420 Cup race

Rain on Saturday postponed the 1975 Nashville 420 to Sunday afternoon. With lingering clouds and a high of 84 it made a perfect day for shooting Super 8mm movies. Benny Parsons started on the pole, Darrell Waltrip led the first 18 laps before his transmission gave out on lap 19, and Cale Yarborough led all but 35 of 420 laps. Benny Parsons needed relief from Coo Coo Marlin, and although they finished 4th they were 8 laps down - and it was still a great race! Thanks to Ricky Haynes for allowing his Super 8 film to be digitized or this race would be lost to history.
