Thanks for the great comment also thought I would add, that my view of doing these videos is to keep the focal point on the subject of the video and not us entirely, thanks again

The early Mk III retaining nut that you are tightening around the 4 minute mark, were made from 2 pieces that were pressed together. They often came apart, causing a noise in the rear wheel. Andover Norton's current nut is made from a single piece of billet steel, so does not have that issue. When it comes apart, removing the rear wheel becomes a major PITA! Learned about this the hard way on my 2nd Mk III. Coat the "cush drive" rubber blocks with soap water. That makes installation much easier. I always liked the two piece rear axle. It allows you to remove the rear wheel without disconnecting the rear chain. Les B has a nice KZbin video, showing the "trick" to getting the wheel out from under the fender. See kzbin.info/www/bejne/pqDEq2CumaqFm5I Norton made over 150 improvements to the 850 Mk III models. Much easier to work on than my 74 Mk II, 72 Combat or 71 Roadster

Thanks for this video. Never seen a MKIII wheel setup in this detail lever before. Kinda glad my MKII is so much simpler ;-) Looks like those chain adjustment brackets on back of Swingarm could be used on the MKII. They look better for holding the axle in place while torquing the axle bolt up. MKII always seems to move slightly doing this. Any thoughts on why Norton moved the front disc to the left side on the MKIII? Seems most modern bikes have front & rear discs on opposite sides, but why? Yes the rear ISO replacement with engine still in frame would be a unique video to see...never been done before on KZbin...kinda like recording a unicorn !!🙂
