1975 Notre Dame at Air Force

This is the 10/18/1975 Notre Dame at Air Force game. it is a black and white film with radio audio. For a second consecutive week the Irish called on a very young backup QB Joe Montana to bail them out. This was a huge comeback that Notre Dame was lucky to survive. I claim no rights.

The week before, Moose Krause remarked that it was the greatest comeback he'd ever seen after ND pulled out a 21-14 win over North Carolina, thanks to the heroics of Joe Montana. After this game, he said, "This one's even better."

Somehow this Air Force team tied UCLA. They finished 2-8-1. The opposite regular season record of UCLA.

Why Don Crique insisted upon calling Jerome Heavens "Havens" even though Al Wester was pointedly pronouncing it correctly, I never understood. Especially when the ND media guide had a pronunciation guide.
