Brought back great memories. I put many miles on mine in Northern MI when I was 12-14 years old. Thanks1

Same here! Wellston/Irons area. My grandparents lived up there and had 2 of these & two 70s Kaws 125 and a 175. Amongst others. I grew up having a blast in the trails on all those bikes. Started with my 84 Honda CT70, still haver her too!

I grew up on one of these bikes and just recently bought a "barn find" non-runner to fix up. I'm looking forward to this series! Super rad!

I bought one when I got out of the service in 72. Used to run it on the beach jumping dunes and stuff, great fun, but you can't do that now.

I just bought a 72 rv 90,,, I love it, but I did find out it is hard and expensive to buy alot of parts I want or need. Mine drives great but I need tires, a whole new headlamp, and good set of wire replacement. I am missing the side cover, and my bars are rusting, along with a slight bend in the forks. BUT MAN IT IS FUN TO RIDE , even right now without all of those things, and it still looks pretty bad ass as far as 90cc bikes go. Anyways I am looking foward to watching all your future videos. Nice video, keep on keeeping on!

Nice! I think there are some ATV tires that fit, mine need replaced too and I think that's what I'm going to try. I just put aftermarket Chinese replacement rear shocks on the bike and I'm going to change the gearing to get some more speed out of it. Make sure you check your suzuki dealer because mine had a lot of parts, but they had to do some digging lol

I've got a 1978 F model, so it's not street legal. But I've gotten a 75 streel legal one, but it's the project you were looking for! I've also got a pair of "project" 125s, no motors etc. If I can get registration paperwork for one, I'm thinking about a Predator 224 may be jammed into it. It seems I have a fat tire obsession, because I've got a 82 CT 70 a 72 Z50 & a Coleman BT200X.

I have a '72 that my grandfather bought new. I bought a parts bike for it once because it had mint tires. But the guy had replaced the rear shocks with angle iron. So it was technically a hard tailed RV90. Don't ask me why he did that, I couldn't tell you haha.

It's awesome when people keep bikes in family and pass them down through the generations. Yea the rear shocks on theses bikes don't seem too stout. One of mine was all bent and not even working so I replaced them both with some Chinese aftermarket ones that actually work pretty good.

What shocks did you end up getting? Recently got one just like yours running and driving for a whopping 50 bucks!

That sounds like an awesome find! I just put on cheap chinese shocks from Amazon, they have a bunch of different lengths to pick from so I just picked the closest length, I think they were just a bit longer than the original ones. The bushing inner diameter was bigger than the stock ones but it took them out of the original shocks and put them in the chinese ones and they bolted up perfectly and work great. I'll try to find the link to the ones I bought.

Looking to buy one of these as a fix up it just mostly needs engine work, have you had a hard time finding parts?
@stupidmoto4 жыл бұрын
I've been able to get most parts I need. My Suzuki dealer actually has a nice stash of new old stock parts, so if you have a dealer that's been around for a while they will probably have parts. There's also a nice selection on eBay as well. I've been "resto-modding" mine by trying to replace everything I can with modern parts. Aftermarket sprockets, rear shocks, footpegs ect. There's a lot of parts that are cross compatible with other Suzuki models too.

@@stupidmoto sounds great actually picking one up this Friday unfortunately the engine is seized but hopefully some marvel mystery oil will solve that problem!
