Lovely car, I had one of these myself in the late seventies. Looks like you doing a great job fixing her up!

Cheese grader... you are a god damned genious! Thanks for this long format videos. I think I might be brave enough to change my windshield after watching you during the years. :)

Nice work David. I'm jealous. For a number of reasons. 1. I'm nearly 70 yo and I no longer have the determination of youth to tackle a big project. 2. I have a '91 240 GLE sedan that would be ideal to convert to electric. (I will be studying your process closely) 3. I nearly bought a 164 about 25 years ago. I didn't. Much regret. 4. Wrecking yards. You have yards where you can pick your parts. Not where I live. 5. You are very clued up on electrics. I am a dolt. Anyway, if I get a few other tasks finished I will consider myself lucky to be able to work on my 940 GL wagon and the 240. You must be balancing work and the ev conversion which is a task in itself and I admire the way you are handling that balance.

@@mayflowerlash11 thank you very much. It’s been so difficult to balance this with everyday life and general career ambitions. That’s partly why this has taken nearly three years to finish 🙃 I appreciate your support and viewership

@@walterpfannschmidt8449 that might take too much off, but I hope to never need to try it again! 🤣

Great that you are restoring a classic Volvo but converting it to electric is absolute sacrilege. They are rare enough as it is so PLEASE NO, it should have the original 3 litre engine PETROL engine.
