I was raised on Smaller bore DT175, Dt125, DT100's, Yammy Enduros. Very Durable. Low maintainance... Nice Piece A++.

Yes,they were great bikes.....I had a red and white DT 175 enduro in the mid 1970s

I had the sister bike DT250 ,in 1977 ,passed my test on it ,same clour ,loved it. That looks great .

This bike was a hoss. My dad had a red/black and white 250, same frame, seat and tank style as the 400. I miss those days!!!!

Gorgeous Yamaha DT. My Uncle had a 1978 Yamaha DT 125...Looked almost identical to that. He took of the street gear for the bike, and rode it strictly in the dirt. Then fast forward 5 years, he bought a New 1983 Yamaha YZ 125....loved that bike. I was so small at 10, that I would sit in front of my Uncle with my helmet on..My Uncle was a big dude like yourself. Uncle would pin the throttle and that YZ 125 would be riding wheelies, echoing for 3 neighborhood blocks, when the powerband came on the pipe. I loved that YZ. It was the talk of the neighborhood, amongst all of us young kids. Awesome Video, Bro.

i would say these bikes are the epitome of big bore 2stroke trail bikes of the 70's. incidently my 1975 yamaha fS1-E 50cc had points & it always ran sweet as a nut. & it was tuned to the max😊.

These DT’s are great bikes, you cant beat um, actually you probably could ride it quite awhile without honing & replacing the piston .. 👍 Just ride it ..

Great looking bike. In the mid 1970s there were loads of DT 100s,125s,175s,250s and a few DT 400 enduros sold here on the Isle of Man by Padgets Yamaha dealership. The 100s were green and white colour scheme,the 125 blue and white,the 175 red and white,the 250 orange and white and the DT 400 was either yellow and white or satin black and white......I haven't seen any on our roads for over 20 years now. Also the 250 and 400 models had the radial finned cylinder heads which looked superb.

Im looking at one of these up in Canada 1976 tho, about 6500 miles on it, and all original, how have you found bottom end bearings on these bikes, are they good with this kind of mileage, I watch your videos, great info thanks, Scott
