Such a cool old school Enduro Yamaha dirt bike, I remember seeing these as a little kid up in northern Michigan by our summer cabin and I thought they were the coolest thing as a little kid... and then the Cr the RM and the YZ 'S came out and change my opinion a little bit, Either way these are still very cool motorcycles lots of torque and Power and just a blast to ride, thanks for posting these videos brother it's so cool to relive a lot of these old school dirt bike memories via Kaplan motorcycles... you guys rock!!

Another beautiful bike from kaolin cycles well done another classic bike saved for the future . I’d buy it in a heartbeat

1984 was the last year for the long steel tank on the DT AND AFTER THAT THEY WENT TO PLASTIC LIKE THE XR maybe it was to keep up on the new day and age stuff every one wanted . my 1973Dt 250 is steel my two 1977/1978DT 400 are steel then I got a 1975 orange tank white logos with silver fenders the same model of this one you guys got on this video got steel tanks my friend had a 1984DT 175 it was red the tank was not plastic then also so for what thinking 1984 was the last years of steel tank on any DT hope that helps

Can I ask who you send your engines to for rebuild? My local places don't want anything to do with old stuff they actually ignore me soon as I say 19_ if it's not in 2000s they push me away I really want to fix mx 75 dt250 engine wise rest I can figure out. I really appreciate it and wat beautiful bike wish I could just buy that instead but what fun is that lol I like seeing them come back to life!

@rodan2852 Жыл бұрын
With speed limits 55 mph and under with 1-way trip of like 10-25 miles? than yes, it would be perfectly fine. The DTs can go faster and further, but the bars get buzzy and the upright position could make higher speeds a little more uncomfortable.

these bikes are wierd to ride if ya ride newer 2 strokes as they don't really have a power bandn its just kind a raw power n very spongy forks lol
