This is a big job. Well done. You will end up with a car that not only are you proud to own but fun to drive. I always tell people when you remove anything to repair / replace just clean and paint...before long your car will look tons better without taking the time to totally restore.

I bought a suspension kit and had my local frame mechanic install it, along with new Gymkhana front springs. Much stiffer at speed, you really command the road. Anyone who has a mech install the bushings, just recheck everything as I found brake hardline clamp bolts missing and no grease in some of the bushings causing a squeak. Needle grease fitting does the trick with the bushings. Also remember to regrease the rear bearings every 30K. You have to remove the axle from the trailing arm and there is a special greasing donut you bolt on. Works rather well and your rear end trailing arm bearings will last.

Thanks for the advice! That's good to know. I will be replacing both trailing arms soon. I was going to rebuild mine, but then figured I could save a lot of time and effort by picking up new ones. That way I can restore the old ones at my leisure and either keep them as backups or sell them.

@@RestorationObsession Thats probably the best bet as everything is new. Just be sure your bearings are lubed if you get the entire trailing arm with emergency brake shoes. Ya there are always people looking for a good set.

Heya Luke! Are you referring to the whole wiring harness replacement? I haven't done that yet, hope to not have to though! 76Vette just posted a wiring harness video you might find helpful: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qWqclXuFotBqjZo
