1976 Dodge W200 Club Cab Power Wagon 4x4 Long Bed

This 1976 Dodge W200 Club Cab Power Wagon 4x4 Long Bed was actually acquired by PSF Motorsports owner, Eric DeLary, back in 2015 from a Mopar collector selling the truck to make room for more muscle cars in his growing collection. Originally purchased for a Cummins 12-Valve swap, the truck would sit untouched for 2 years before being offered for sale when Eric relocated to Eastern Washington in 2017. Eric stayed in touch with the new owner who had occasional questions and updates. So it wasn’t unusual when he reached out in August 2022. However, he was now moving shops and no longer had space for the truck. Eric purchased the truck and brought it back to Eastern Washington where it has been gone through and is now up for sale.
This rare and hard-to-find Club Cab has the original size 400 Cubic Inch V8 mated to an automatic transmission and full-time 4-wheel drive transfer case with Hi-Loc and Lo-Loc functions. The engine has been upgraded with a new Edelbrock Performer carburetor. It also comes with a number of parts and pieces that have remained with the truck. Some of those pieces include a new B&M shift kit for the transmission and a manual truck choke conversion.
So what is the status of the truck now, what condition is it in and what does it need? Great questions. The engine runs very strong, the transmission shifts great, full-time 4wd works and the truck stops and steers as it should. All systems are working great. The gas, however, is currently coming from a small auxiliary tank. There are 2 original tanks but they have not been used in a bit and will likely need to be flushed out. Everything else is more cosmetic than mechanical. Water seems to have leaked a bit through the top corners of the windshield and it caused water to soak up in the matting under the rubber floor which has resulted in rust spots on the passenger and driver floorboards. Replacement floor pans are available for this and are pretty straightforward to replace. Pictures can be seen to note the extent of the spots.
The driver's side seemed to have it a bit worse which is perhaps why the lower rear corner of the driver-side fender has a rust spot, as does the driver's door. There is also a spot on the driver-side front bed corner. All are very mild and also seem pretty straightforward to repair. The driver side of the seat has vinyl upholstery that is in need of replacement or a simple seat cover would do. Little things like new wiper blades may also be necessary.
Other than those small things, this is a very clean, straight, and well-cared-for truck that was registered for the road and driven as recently as 2008. There are so many options with this platform. Whether you want to restore it and bring it back to its former glory or go all out and Cummins swap it as was the original plan, this is an awesome truck ready for a new home!
