Boy o boy, I'm surprised all the snow and ice is gone! Saving that old low tension motor shows true dedication Ben!

Wonder what happened internally... Took a swim? Water in the gas? Bad lower seal?

@@fleetwin1 Again I have no idea! The motor was missing the flywheel when I bought it though.

Nothing compares to sound of the 15 hp Johnson/Evinrude at full throttle.

Lot of work done to that one. I have an '81 9.9 that I need to split the case on and replace the bearings in. It will be a nice motor when i get it done. This one sounds great now. Nice work!

It’s not bad to replace the crank bearings takes about two hours

Hello, I have a 1970’s Chrysler 15 hp outboard, I think it’s a 75 but I’m not sure, I had it running but when I go to give it gas it almost “slips” in drive. It will only rev half way before “slipping” and bogging back down. I saw your name and thought you might know something about Chrysler motors, just wondering what I can check out to try to fix it. Thanks!

I have a 9.9 Chrysler and cant find much information. The starting system is a rotor and stator system, not a side mounted gear drive starter. Tryn to chase wiring because it will run if you keep power by holding key over on start....

Hey buddy, i really appreciate what you do. I got a 1969 9.9 that i cant figure out why im not getting spark. I was only getting spark on the lower cylinder coil. Changed the top coil and now im not getting any spark on either lines. your thoughts in general? by the way i cleaned the points and changed the condensors. both coils are good, what else could kill the spark ? have you run into a problem like this with the chryslers?
