I remember going to the old Orange Bowl and when Norm Bulaich took the field everyone would yell Boo boo Bulaich and when he scored a touchdown too. They were supporting him not booing him.🏈

One of only 2 losing seasons for Miami from 1970-2003

Other was back in 1986.

Check that. 1988. Dolphins rallied in the 2nd half of 1986 to avoid a losing season.

Plus, they nearly lost to the Bucs that year due to a last second field goal to win the game. If the Bucs beaten the Dolphins in '76, it would be the most embarrassing moment in franchise history.

6 preseason games back then? That’s is ridiculous. I wonder if if they cut the amount of preseason games in 1978 when the regular season was expanded to 16 games.

They did indeed cut preseason to 4 when regular season was expanded to 16.

The opening game win mainly came about from the Bills kicker (John Leypoldt) missing 3 FGs. He was cut the next day.

Watching some of this old footage....... Shows me that Griese could really sling it.... History tries to portray him as a thinking man's quarterback with a below average arm....... I'm realizing that he threw the ball very well.

Why is there an emphasis of the Dolphins' loss to the Rams??? I was there as an 17-year old, and it was bad enough the first time!!!
@classicsports50578 ай бұрын
It was the only game with TV footage left so I put all the Dolphins highlights that were there.

After 77 - Miami traded Soloman to San Fran as part of the Delvin Williams deal. Williams had one great year for Miami in 1978 and a mediocre season in 1979 and 1980. Soloman continued to star fro San Fran at WR beside Dwight Clarke and later on Jerry’s Rice. Solomon was never the triple threat That the was in Miami in 1975-1976. On balance, Miami might have been better off keeping soloman and the high draft picks instrwsd of trading for Delvin Williams.
